Odin looked at Lucian's serious expression and slowly nodded.
The old man withdrew his rough hand from the edge of the wooden box and clasped it behind his back again. His single eye fixed on the faint glow inside the box as he solemnly cautioned:
"There are a few key points about this seed that you must remember."
Lucian held the wooden box and listened quietly.
"First, never use it in Midgard."
Odin turned and looked Lucian straight in the eye. "Around Midgard lies a dimensional defensive barrier established through the painstaking efforts of generations of Sorcerers Supreme. Once the World Tree Seed sprouts, its roots will instinctively tear through space and draw in dimensional energy. No one can say for certain whether its growth will burst Midgard's barrier from within."
"If the barrier breaks and those ancient demon gods lurking in the dimensional gaps seize the chaos to enter, it will spell utter destruction for Midgard."
Lucian's brow twitched slightly.
There really were quite a few old thugs lurking outside Earth. He was not yet so full of himself that he thought he could take on a Dimensional Demon God alone.
Besides, he had never intended to plant this thing in Marvel's main universe in the first place.
The Boys Universe, an independent universe with no demon gods watching it and not even a decent supernatural system, was the perfect nursery for this seed.
"Second, try to wait until you are stronger before using it."
Odin's voice echoed through the cramped stone chamber. "According to Asgard's oldest Rune Texts, as a newborn World Tree grows, it naturally absorbs the laws drifting through the universe and develops different worlds among its branches. But you must understand that these resulting worlds are ownerless by nature."
Lucian paused. "Ownerless?"
"Planting the seed
