Kakuzu and Hidan kept walking toward the coast. After being affected by Kotoamatsukami, Hidan had been unusually quiet the entire way, never saying much. Kakuzu was pleased but also somewhat unaccustomed to it, and instead took the initiative to chat a little.
At last, the two reached a beach. Kakuzu began giving Hidan orders. "Wait for me here. Don't go anywhere."

The Five-Colored Hearts inside him split into five Black Monsters, left his body, and rushed toward the surrounding islands.
Half a day later, having found nothing, Kakuzu finally accepted the cruel reality: his vault had been robbed. Not so much as a hair had been left for him, nor even a single trace or clue.
In fact, the absence of clues was the best clue. To empty a vault spanning an entire island without leaving a trace, the culprit had to be an enormous force. Most importantly, it had happened precisely when he died. As for who was the most likely suspect, that went without saying.
Without further hesitation, Kakuzu hurried back to the beach and told Hidan, "Let's go. We're heading to Konoha."
At the Five Kage Summit, the Raikage roared at Obito after his attack missed. "Declare war? I'll kill you first!"
