Xie Yanci tilted his head up and kissed those glistening lips.
The charged atmosphere ignited in an instant, and they embraced each other as they kissed.
They became so lost in it that they nearly went all the way on the sofa.
Luckily, Xie Yanci still had a shred of reason left.
He reached out and caught Xu Shi's wandering hand as it kept slipping under his clothes, his chest heaving. "Get a grip."
His burning breath fell against the Beta's neck, tickling a little.
"Mm..."
Xu Shi instinctively tilted his head back, his desire-filled eyes seeming ready to spill over.
The kisses had left his brain starved of oxygen, making his already muddled head even hazier, but he still felt, from the bottom of his heart, that he had gotten the better end of the deal by kissing such a handsome man.
Xu Shi clung to Xie Yanci's neck, refusing to let go.
"Will you be my wife?" Xu Shi buried his head against Xie Yanci's neck, wheedling pitifully.
He smeared snot and tears all over Xie Yanci.
Xie Yanci's severe obsession with cleanliness, which had lasted over twenty years, was finally cured that day.
He shook his head helplessly. Though inwardly repulsed, he did not push away Xu Shi, who was glued to him. "Be good. If you're good, I'll say yes."
"Really?" Xu Shi looked up, casually wiping his nose.
Before Xie Yanci could react, he cupped the Alpha's cheeks in both hands and bent down to kiss him several times.
"Wifey, you're so good to me."
Xie Yanci: "..."
He had been crying his heart out just a moment ago, yet now he was not sad at all.
All he did was take liberties with him.
And he was filthy.
Those hands were sticky with red wine, had wiped his nose, and still kept touching his face.
Xie Yanci let out a heavy sigh.
He had been tormented past the point of losing his temper.
They would have to add a clause to their marriage agreement: no drinking at home!
Or outside, either!
Xie Yanci could not soothe himself. He was irritated, but there was really nothing he could do.
Xu Shi was his wife, after all.
He helped Xu Shi up and straightened him, his voice softening a little for once. "I'll go make you some hangover soup. Sit here and be good. No more drinking."
"No!" Xu Shi refused to listen.
He pouted and threw himself back into Xie Yanci's arms.
Tears filled his clear, shattered eyes, as though they would spill at a single harsh word. The corners were tinged red, making him utterly pitiful.
Xie Yanci had never seen his wife look so beautiful.
He stared, entranced, for a few seconds, then reached out to pat Xu Shi's back gently, coaxing him. "Be good. If you don't have some hangover soup, your head will hurt when you wake up tomorrow."
"No..." Xu Shi clung to Xie Yanci's neck and refused to let go.
A tear fell with a plop.
He choked out pitifully, "Want a hug."
"..."
Those words melted Xie Yanci's heart.
He had thought he disliked people wheedling with him, disliked people who were too much trouble, disliked anyone disrupting his unchanging life.
He had thought what he wanted was stability, peace and quiet, and convenience.
It seemed he had been wrong...
Xie Yanci lowered his eyes, the corners of his lips unconsciously curving upward.
He savored those words for a long, long time.
He suddenly rose, holding Xu Shi, who was wrapped around him and refused to leave, with one arm. "I'll carry you there."
"Mm." Xu Shi rested against his shoulder and nodded.
Xie Yanci worked out year-round, so carrying the fifty-kilogram Xu Shi with one arm was effortless.
He was tall, and while figuring out how to make hangover soup in the kitchen, he had to keep shielding Xu Shi's head for fear it would hit the overhead cabinets.
[Such good stamina.]
[No wonder he could pin someone to the bed and keep going for two whole days.]
"..."
Xie Yanci pretended not to hear and took it as a compliment.
Just moments ago, he had been crying as though he had suffered some terrible injustice, yet in the blink of an eye, his head was full of nothing but filthy thoughts again.
His concern really had been unnecessary. Xu Shi's ability to make peace with himself was simply outstanding.
Xie Yanci sighed helplessly and settled him securely on a chair. "Drink all the hangover soup."
"Okay." Xu Shi nodded obediently.
His head was still a little dizzy, and he felt so awful that he wanted to throw up all over Xie Yanci.
But Xie Yanci would probably hit him.
Actually, he could be into S&M too...
Xu Shi propped up his head and drank the hangover soup one mouthful at a time, feeling too guilty to look up at the Alpha in front of him.
The living room was rather quiet. A certain cool, aloof, and distinguished President Xie simply stood there staring at him without moving, completely unaware of how oppressive his presence was.
Xu Shi disliked the atmosphere and changed the subject. "Doubao said you can't get drunk on fine red wine."
He glared at Xie Yanci. "Is all the red wine in your cellar cheap garbage?"
Xie Yanci: "???"
Don't blame the wine for your own shortcomings.
Every bottle in his collection was so sought-after that money alone could not buy it, and Xu Shi had squandered it all.
"I haven't even settled the score with you yet!" Xie Yanci reached out and pinched Xu Shi's puffed-up cheek. "You've cried your eyes swollen. So naughty."
His phone suddenly vibrated, and Xie Yanci glanced at it.
He got up and went into the kitchen.
After glancing at Xu Shi, who was obediently drinking his hangover soup, he opened the messages Secretary Zhou had sent.
[President Xie, I've looked into it.]
[The other party is a minor actor. He had a little run-in with your wife last time, too. Your wife has now beaten him so badly that he's lying in the hospital.]
Secretary Zhou did not dare go into detail about the previous little incident involving "stealing a boyfriend."
He only sent over the minor actor's information and that of the organizer of this banquet.
[President Xie, would you like me to take care of it?]
Xie Yanci lowered his eyes and considered for a few seconds, then tapped the screen with his long, beautifully defined fingers: [Wait for now.]
If he quietly took care of everything, Xu Shi would not give him any credit.
He wanted to hear Xu Shi wheedle a little more.
