Huo Xingye approached and saw a puppy with dewy eyes cradled in Nan Zhou's arms.
It was a black Shiba Inu with little bean-shaped eyebrows. Though tiny, it already looked rather goofy.
Especially when it stuck out its tongue, its clear eyes looked quite silly.
Although it wasn't the same breed as Ailong, there was no denying that the puppy's goofy appearance and adorable bean-shaped eyebrows gave it something of Ailong's air.
That was what Nan Zhou liked most about it.
"Where did it come from?" Huo Xingye sat down beside him and reached out to stroke the puppy's head.
But the puppy didn't seem to like him at all. It barked and turned its head into Nan Zhou's arms.
"Someone from the kitchen brought it over just now. They said they found it beside the trash can when they went out back to throw out the garbage. Someone abandoned it." At some point, Nan Zhou had found a bowl, and now he was about to feed the puppy some milk.
"How could anyone bear to abandon such a cute puppy? What an unjust world."
"What are you planning to name him?" Huo Xingye asked.
The puppy sniffed the little bowl in Nan Zhou's hand, then stuck out its tongue and happily lapped up the milk inside. Its little tail wagged gently, and it looked very happy.
Nan Zhou looked at him. "Idol."
Huo Xingye: "..."
"What, isn't it a good name? A little cutie who arrived on camera, watched and eagerly anticipated by thousands of people. Idol is the perfect nickname. And it has bean-shaped eyebrows, too. Super cute."
"Mm, very good." Huo Xingye stroked the puppy's head.
The puppy wasn't as averse to him while eating as it had been earlier. All its attention was on the milk
