Childhood and the Orphanage

When Wen Yu was six, his father sold his mother to a drunk as a prostitute. Before dying by suicide, she left Wen Yu at the entrance to an orphanage. He subsequently grew up there and formed lasting relationships with its other children 164 168.

Wen Wan, whom he calls his older sister, protected him and taught him to conceal himself by the time he was thirteen. The wealthy businessman President Qin later forcibly took her away.
