The scene fell silent for a moment.
Then Sno's voice suddenly rang out, carrying undisguised anger.
"Useless trash! What does my god keep you around for? All you know is to run when you see angels? You haven't even gathered the most basic intelligence!"
Hearing Sno's rebuke, Xiong Lu silently lowered his head.
"Enough. Now isn't the time to assign blame."
Karl's tone was calm, yet carried an unquestionable authority.
He glanced at Xiong Lu, whose head hung low on the communications screen. Just as he was about to have him investigate Blue Star in detail, his Private Communications Channel suddenly vibrated.
An encrypted communications request popped up, its identification code a string of numbers he knew all too well.
Karl's expression shifted slightly, and he accepted the request.
The next second, Morgana's voice reached his ears, thick with irritation.
"Karl, I've run into trouble."
"Liang Bing, is this about Heavenly Blade King He Xi?"
Karl's voice returned to its usual gentleness, but his brow furrowed slightly.
Somewhere on the European Continent, on the bridge of Demon One.
Morgana was leaning back in her spacious chair, her legs crossed and her fingers tapping intermittently against the armrest. Her expression looked as though she had just swallowed a live fly.
"So you already know, huh?"
"I only learned about it through the Taotie."
There was a hint of inquiry in Karl's voice. "Speaking of which, what's going on with He Xi?"
"How would I know?"
Morgana rolled her eyes. "Here's the situation: that bastard Qin Feng wiped out my Demon Legion with a single look. Your queen no longer has the ability to fight the angels head-on!"
"Qin Feng?"
Karl's voice deepened slightly. "That unknown Galaxy Power? What does this have to do with him?"
"No shit!"
Morgana raised her voice.
