A faint, dark red light suddenly appeared in one of the third-floor windows of the Abandoned Dormitory.
It lasted only a moment before vanishing into the darkness.

"Someone's inside."

"Someone? Then let's go in and ask why they're hanging around an abandoned dorm in the middle of the night."

"Hold on, why do we have to go inside to ask? We can stand out here and call them out."
Hayato nodded repeatedly.
"I'm with Syrus. Talking from outside lets us be polite without getting dragged off by a monster."

"But what if they won't come out?"
"Then we come back tomorrow during the day."
"By tomorrow, they might already be gone."
