Ashley frowned as the second video, which had stirred intense public hostility, began to play.

Vought's staff had identified its source as a park in a remote small town.

In the video, a man in an ordinary jacket walked along a park path with his hands in his pockets.

He looked like an utterly ordinary middle-aged man. The only thing that stood out was his severe patchy baldness; even through the blurry footage, large stretches of shiny scalp were visible.

Not far away, a little girl sat on a bench.

Nothing was out of the ordinary up to this point in the video, until the image shifted and Homelander suddenly appeared behind the balding man, as eerie as a ghost.

After the two exchanged a few words, Homelander suddenly vanished from the footage again, moving too fast for the surveillance camera to capture.

Seemingly worried that viewers would miss it, the uploader had specifically slowed down this brief segment, making it just possible to catch a few fleeting frames.

But that was enough. In slow motion, the smile on Homelander's face became deeply unsettling as he grabbed the balding man by the throat.

When Homelander appeared again, he was in another area of the park.

He dropped out of the sky, throwing up an enormous splash on the lake. A dozen or so minutes later, that dark figure shot back out of the water. It was Homelander.

The video's final scene showed the balding man's corpse floating to the surface.

Ashley held the tablet stiffly and swiped a few times. The video's title stood out starkly: "Homelander brutally murders an innocent passerby just to cover his tracks and satisfy his twisted desires?"

An accompanying image below showed the little girl from the surveillance footage hugging Homelander's leg while Homelander smiled.
