Above Mardum's starry sky, an enormous purple ship hovered silently in synchronous orbit around this shattered world. Its design was unique: its main body seemed to consist of a gigantic purple crystal, with a hull fashioned from special materials around it. Overall, it looked like a great sailing ship soaring through a sea of stars, but its symmetrical, streamlined wings, the observation platforms and residential quarters on its left devoted to various functions, and the completely extinguished energy barriers behind it all revealed its distinctive futuristic feel.
This was Tempest Keep, a starship originally belonging to the Naaru and Draenei, now used by the Lord of Outland to blockade Mardum and transport troops. Of course, it was also the central headquarters for the entire war on Mardum.
The great ship, originally intended for interstellar voyages, had now been thoroughly militarized. The true elites of the Illidari were all temporarily housed here, and the auxiliary armies that had attached themselves to Illidan and pledged him their loyalty also had their own barracks aboard the enormous ship. The war had begun three months ago and was now nearing its end. Their objective was not to occupy this continent, but to find something vitally important within it.
Clearly, with the Cannon Fodder Legion having spent their lives covering the entire Mardum Continent, the Illidari had essentially pinpointed that location. From top to bottom, this army, which employed overwhelmingly powerful wars of annihilation as its ultimate means, had begun preparing supplies for the final battle. Once they seized that vitally important thing, their campaign on
