"Clack."

The door to the Meditation Chamber on the top floor of the starship Tempest Keep swung open. The Lord of Outland, whose fearsome reputation throughout Draenor World made him seem like a true master, ignored the noise behind him. He carefully cradled a skull in his hands, as though praying or performing some mysterious ritual.

The skull clearly was not human. Its jaw was larger than a human's, with two sharp fangs, and it radiated a chilling, deathly pallor. An unnatural emerald gleam shone in its dark eye sockets, like green pools containing two eerily spinning vortices.

With a smoking pipe between his teeth and his face buried in thick smoke, Dick muttered, "Looks like you really are sentimental."

"Heh, I'm hardly sentimental."

The Lord of Outland rose from the floor, put away the skull, and stretched. The dark green bat wings on his back spread fully in an instant, like demon wings that sought to shroud the entire sky. Purple soul energy and dark green flames coiled around Illidan, contracting and expanding with his breathing as though they were part of his body.

That was a manifestation of Illidan's power, and an even greater symbol of his ascension.
