The main guns of starships in a magical world were naturally not loaded with the explosives of a technological age. In fact, the demons' assault starships followed the same design principles as Azeroth's starships: they converted magical energy on a massive scale until it could erupt with enough force to destroy every living thing in its path.

To put it simply, it was like magnifying the power of a Fireball ten thousand times. The power was staggering!

Since they used technology similar to magical gems to accumulate and regulate energy, the main guns could fire continuously without worrying about reloading ammunition, at least until their energy reservoirs ran dry. Once they fired to the point of exhaustion, however, reloading these main guns took far longer than their technological counterparts.

Even so, after the first bombardment, the large energy defense device obtained from the Ethereals had reached its warning threshold. In an ordinary world, defense was always much harder than offense. Kil'jaeden had assembled nearly sixty percent of Argus's starships, more than two hundred vessels. A single volley was enough to destroy an entire continent. This was hardly a failing of the Ethereals' equipment.

That it could withstand such a terrifying assault without collapsing only showed that Prince Haramad had done more than enough. Even within the Consortium, equipment with this level of energy defense would absolutely rank among the very best.

The world-shattering sight of that bombardment terrified everyone... Although the leaders had discussed a concentrated bombardment by the demon starships at the outset, who could have foreseen what it would actually look like once they opened fire? Countless streams of energy converged, bathing the entire, already unrecognizable land of Krokuun in searing light. The escaping energy even evaporated all the magma beneath Krokuun.
