Ichigo Kurosaki stood in the middle of his room again, the Command Spells on the back of his hand gleaming.
Time was short. He had to hurry and summon a second Servant, and according to Rukia, since the Holy Grail allowed him to summon a second one, that meant all Masters could summon two.
So one more Servant meant one more chance at victory, and a lower chance of something happening to him.
When the time came, with his own Shinigami abilities and Rukia added to the mix, how could they lose four against two?
Ichigo thought that made a lot of sense. Though even he wasn't sure whether he was more interested in protecting himself or winning at this point, he had always been the sort to act first and think later.
He often couldn't quite make out what other people said.
Just like how, when you got old, everything you did was heartbreaking... just kidding.
"Are you ready?"
The petite Rukia sat on the edge of the bed, arms folded and expression serious.
"Yeah."
"We still don't have a catalyst this time, so there's no telling who we'll summon.
"But since you summoned Mordred last time, and although her personality was a little... rebellious, she was very strong and a decent person, too.
"That suggests your affinity leans toward good people. This time, try emptying your mind. Don't think about anything. Let the Command Spells choose for you."
"Let the Command Spells choose on their own?"
"Right. Let the Holy Grail choose the Servant who best suits your style. Of course, it could also be someone with some unknown connection to you."
Ichigo closed his eyes.
He focused his attention on the Command Spells on the back of his hand, letting his consciousness spread out like the surface
