This time, the two attacked simultaneously from either side, raining down punches and kicks.
These most basic attacks were not to be underestimated. In Dragon Ball's world, combat was sometimes just that simple: nothing more than powering up, transforming, and stacking stats.
And that happened to work best.
High damage with the left hand, high damage with the right.
Lu You stood where he was, his hands blurring as he blocked, deflected, and countered. Flowing patterns rippled through the void, diverting the surging force outward.
A taiji diagram slowly took shape around him.
With every contact, both guards could feel that his strength was unfathomable and endless. It was like punching a wad of cotton; no matter how hard they struck, their strength found no purchase.
Just ten seconds later.
Both guards lay on the ground, questioning their lives.
Wait, what about our stats? Our high damage? Why couldn't we land a single hit on him?!
Lu You had not struck to kill. He had merely sealed both their powers, temporarily immobilizing them.
"Didn't I tell you already? You just had to take a beating. Lie there and rest for a while."
Lu You waved a hand.
He strode into the palace.
The palace was far more spacious inside than it looked from outside, presumably built something like a pocket world.
A simple carpet covered the white floor, with a small throne at the far end.
On the throne sat a small, childlike figure with large purple eyes and a round head, dressed in purple-and-gold robes.
Rather than a child, he looked more like a robot. Well, these aliens all came in strange shapes. Their power clearly ranked among the highest across countless worlds, yet their minds remained very simple.
That was simply how things worked in Dragon Ball's setting.
