As long as they weren't found, they would be fine. But once they were discovered, death was certain.
A boy stood in the courtyard, pouring water from a bucket into a water vat.
Tetsu no Sosuke approached from a distance and called out, "Well now, I never expected to find a home in a place like this."
Only then did the boy look up. He seemed a little startled and asked timidly, "Who are you?"
"Haha, young man, don't be nervous. I'm not anyone suspicious."
Tetsu no Sosuke smiled and said, "I'm just a traveler passing through."
"A traveler?" The boy looked at the Sunflare Hammer on Tetsu no Sosuke's back, looking rather unconvinced.
"Haha, here's the thing," Tetsu no Sosuke said. "I'm a blacksmith on a training journey, and this is my Forging Hammer. It might look big, but it's actually heavy too."
"...Huh?"
The boy was a little bewildered. Why did that sound so strange?
"Hahaha, never mind that, never mind." Mimicking Kyojuro Rengoku's hot-blooded, airheaded tone, Tetsu no Sosuke said, "Anyway, I'm a blacksmith passing through. I heard something and came to take a look. I never expected to find someone living here. That's wonderful. Now, young man, this passing traveler is thirsty. Could you spare a bowl of water?"
"Oh, sure." Still looking utterly confused, the boy set down his bucket and hurried into the house. He soon returned with a wooden bowl, filled it with water for Tetsu no Sosuke, and offered it with both hands. "Here you go."
Tetsu no Sosuke accepted it solemnly. "Then I'll gladly help myself."
He drained it in one gulp. It was wonderfully sweet and refreshing, and his eyes lit up. "That's delicious."
The boy smiled. "It's just a bowl of fresh water from a mountain stream."
"You don't
