"I'll take you two," Kiyo Terauchi said. The brothers looked back at Tetsu no Sosuke. Their teacher hadn't said anything yet.
Kiyo glanced back at them. "Come on. In my experience, those two have already forgotten you're here."
"...How could they?"
Yuichiro and Muichiro felt like crying.
Kiyo seemed to be right, though, so they followed her. On the way, they exchanged names. Then Kiyo said, "Our Hammer Pillar is wonderful, and he and the former Flower Pillar went through a lot before they got together. The only problem is that once those two are together, they have eyes for no one else. Normally it's not so bad, but the Hammer Pillar has been away so long that now he's back, they've probably forgotten everyone else."
Yuichiro and Muichiro exchanged a look. They knew very little about that sort of thing.
"Don't worry," Kiyo said. "I'll get rooms ready for you first. They should come back to their senses by this afternoon. He'll definitely introduce you then."
"That's good." The brothers glanced at each other, both at a loss for words. Was their teacher really reliable?
Kiyo was curious about the two of them, so she asked about their plans. When she learned that Muichiro was studying Swordsmanship and Yuichiro was learning to forge, a hint of envy appeared in her eyes.
"The Hammer Pillar hasn't been in the Demon Slayer Corps long, but he was already qualified to become a Pillar before he joined."
Kiyo continued, "He used to be a Swordsmith in the Swordsmith Village, without any foundation in Swordsmanship. Later, the Flower Pillar taught him herself. Who would've thought that in just a year or two, the Hammer Pillar would become someone so remarkable?"
"The Hammer Pillar... Is our teacher really that remarkable?" Yuichiro asked quietly.
