Its sharpness was the same as the blade Tetsu no Sosuke currently used. It was probably a little better in other respects, but nothing had improved enough to make a fundamental difference.
Still, Tetsu no Sosuke was quite satisfied with the blade.
Its sharpness had not improved much, but its other attributes had all risen a little—except Sunblaze...
Yuichiro stared at the blade, lost in thought. "Teacher, may I take a look?"
Tetsu no Sosuke nodded and handed him the blade, sheath and all. "When you're done, put it away in the Sword Case until someone comes to collect it."
"Okay."
Yuichiro examined it carefully, muttering to himself as he went.
He was evidently comparing Tetsu no Sosuke's forging methods with the results they had produced, then measuring both against the weapons he had forged himself.
By the end, he seemed to have learned a great deal. The boy stared at the Sword Forging Shed, his eyes practically glowing.
Tetsu no Sosuke had a feeling the boy might bite him if he kept the Sword Forging Shed to himself any longer.
With a sigh, he stepped out and let Yuichiro have at it.
Then he sent someone to prepare another set of forging equipment. Having two workstations in the Sword Forging Shed would clearly be more convenient.
With only one, master and apprentice would sooner or later fight over it... or one of them would simply beat the other up.
The Hidden worked quickly. The next day, they brought in the new equipment and expanded the Sword Forging Shed.
Kashima Taro, however, had yet to come for his sword, and Tetsu no Sosuke was growing worried.
After all, people who told you to wait because they would be back usually never returned.
