Yushiro pondered for a moment, then asked, "What exactly has he been learning?"
Tetsu no Sosuke thought for a moment, then gave him an overview of the Meditation Method.
He mainly explained what it did, along with a few of its finer points.
Yushiro listened thoughtfully. After a long pause, he said, "I have an idea, but I'll need your cooperation."
"Tell me." Tetsu no Sosuke perked up at once.
"I'll use my abilities to send your mind into his body. You can destroy the shadow rising within him."
Yushiro spoke calmly.
Tetsu no Sosuke froze. "Can you do that?"
"Yes," Yushiro said. "I've studied this sort of thing. From what you've told me, the Meditation Method seems to bring mind and will together, immersing them in the deepest, clearest reaches of the heart. That must be how you can 'shed the Inner Spring,' as you put it. So while you meditate, I only need to build a bridge between you and Zenitsu Agatsuma. Then your mind can enter his."
"What are the odds?"
"Better than fifty percent," Yushiro said.
Tetsu no Sosuke rubbed his chin. "And if it fails?"
"There are probably two possible outcomes," Yushiro said. "Either your mind can't get in and returns to your own body, or you remain trapped in his body forever. Then your only choice would be to destroy Zenitsu Agatsuma and the shadow within him, becoming the sole master of his body."
Wouldn't that be possession?
The thought made Tetsu no Sosuke's teeth ache. Besides, he had already been through something like that once.
His arrival in this world had itself been a kind of spiritual possession.
If he left his current body for Zenitsu Agatsuma's and even destroyed Zenitsu's mind and personality, wouldn't he just be doing it all over again?
