He simply picked up the Sunflare Hammer and ventured into the darkness to look for rabbits.
Yet after half an hour of searching, he had not found a single rabbit.
He had, however, wandered deep into the mountains...
Wild grass grew everywhere, and trees crowded around him. He looked this way and that, only to realize he could no longer quite find his way back.
"I went out to catch rabbits because I was craving one, then got lost trying to catch them." Tetsu no Sosuke rubbed his face. "If word of this got out, I'd be too embarrassed to call myself the Hammer Pillar. Well, not that Hammer Pillar is a particularly nice-sounding title anyway..."
He sighed helplessly and began to miss his campfire.
As for rabbits... after walking a few more steps, he felt that his stomach could not hold another bite.
The main reason he had kept at it earlier was simply his craving.
Now that being lost had overridden that craving, he thought things through calmly. Sure enough, going back to sleep was the sensible thing to do.
He carefully tried to get his bearings, then chose a direction that looked familiar. It seemed familiar at first, but the farther he walked, the stranger it became.
"Where on earth am I?" Tetsu no Sosuke wanted to turn back, but he worried he would not be able to find his earlier route at all. For a moment, he was at a loss.
In the end, he picked a tall mountain and headed toward it. Once he reached higher ground, he should be able to find his way.
With such an obvious landmark, Tetsu no Sosuke put his head down and walked.
