After dinner, Tetsu no Sosuke wrote Ubuyashiki Kagaya another letter. He briefly described what he had discovered that day, then asked Kagaya to find someone to transport stones from the dormant volcano to the Hammer Hut and to send people out to collect more stones.

Of course, they had to record exactly where each stone came from. Otherwise, after collecting a great many stones, they might finally find the gem he wanted, only for the person who found it to have forgotten where. That would be truly awkward.
Once he had finished the letter, Tetsu no Sosuke sent it to Ubuyashiki Kagaya. All he could do now was wait for Kagaya to act.
Meanwhile, his next task was to test the blade.

He needed to test, bit by bit, just how powerful the additional effect from setting the stone could be.
He also needed to test whether that effect changed the blade itself.
And he needed to see whether ordinary iron material and Scarlet Sand Iron affected the stone's properties differently.
This was not work he could finish in a day or two.
A few days later, Ubuyashiki Kagaya replied. When Tetsu no Sosuke had written to him, he had enclosed the blade set with a Flame Stone so Kagaya could see its effect for himself.
Kagaya's reply was heartening.
First, he congratulated Tetsu no Sosuke on another innovation. He believed the discovery could further strengthen the Demon Hunters.
As for collecting stones, Kagaya had already made arrangements. Different stones would likely begin arriving at the Hammer Hut for Tetsu no Sosuke to examine.
Finally, he asked whether Flame
