Tetsu no Sosuke watched in silence, then gently covered his face.
After all that running around and jumping through hoops, all I got was a Sword Guard?
If I wanted something like this, I could make a hundred of them anytime!
Frustration and anger surged up, but Tetsu no Sosuke suppressed them just as quickly.
"Let's take a closer look first..."
He picked up the Sword Guard. It was even lighter in his hand than he had imagined.
Examining it closely, he noticed something at one end. He gently pinched it between his fingers and pulled, drawing out a strand of thread.
It was roughly as fine as silk, yet exceptionally tough.
It was adhesive, sticking to Tetsu no Sosuke's fingertip. He had to apply just the right amount of force to remove it completely; otherwise, no matter how hard he pulled, it was difficult to get off.
After a moment's thought, Tetsu no Sosuke wound the thread around a tree and pulled back. It extended more than ten meters!
A thread so fine that even a careful look with the naked eye might miss it hung suspended in midair.
"What can I use this for?" Tetsu no Sosuke mused. He reached out and touched it lightly, finding it extremely rigid.
Once he pulled it taut, it would form a terrifying trap between him and the tree, invisible to the naked eye.
Tetsu no Sosuke looked around and found a piece of wood. Pulling the Sword Guard taut, he swung the wood at the thread.
The next second, the wood was sliced in two, while the thread suspended in midair did not so much as tremble.
Tetsu no Sosuke pondered it carefully. "What could this let me do? Swing between city buildings? With great power comes great responsibility?"
He shook
