High School

Luo Qingshan pursued Pei Ran after learning that he liked men. His courtship was persistent: he asked to sit beside Pei Ran, changed dormitory beds to take the bunk above him, and accompanied him to meals despite repeated refusals. They began dating in their second year of high school 1 3 7.

When classmates bullied Pei Ran over his sexuality, Luo Qingshan fought the boy spreading the information and suffered injuries, including a broken finger. Pei Ran agreed to try dating him while he was recovering in the hospital. Luo Qingshan, previously a poor student who smoked and drank, subsequently studied intensely to enter the same university as Pei Ran 2 3 6 7.

His affection for Pei Ran is demonstrative: he calls him “baby,” buys him gifts, and speaks openly about their relationship. He admires Pei Ran’s appearance, cleanliness, and upbringing. However, his insistence on dating publicly sometimes disregards Pei Ran’s discomfort with having his private life discussed 1 3 6 22.

After the breakup, Luo Qingshan becomes jealous and unwilling to accept Pei Ran’s decision. He treats the separation as a temporary disagreement, confronts people close to Pei Ran, and invokes his past sacrifices to seek another chance.
