History

Transmigration and Captivity

Corleone completed eight years of combined undergraduate and master’s medical studies and obtained his medical license. On his first day treating outpatients, an overloaded truck crashed into the clinic. He subsequently awakened in another man’s body, bound to an apple tree in the Riverlands after a steward had whipped the original owner for supposedly planning to steal apples 1.

The original Corleone worked more than fourteen hours a day without days off for ninety-one coppers a month. His supposed theft had consisted of counting apples. The other farmhands defended their employer rather than sympathizing with him, leaving the transmigrated Corleone acutely aware of both his vulnerability and the society’s acceptance of exploitation 1.

Vargo Hoat’s Brave Companions raided the farm and took Corleone prisoner. His medical knowledge gave him temporary value: he removed Vargo’s necrotic ear tissue and treated the infected wound. Urswyck nevertheless attempted to strangle him afterward, and Yego intervened. Corleone then agreed to keep the wounded Jaime Lannister alive during the journey to Harrenhal 2 3 5.

Harrenhal and the Road to King’s Landing

Corleone navigated the rivalry between Vargo and Urswyck while treating Jaime’s infected wrist. His defense of Jaime’s decision to break his oath deeply affected Jaime. When Urswyck ordered him to help kill Vargo and attack Yego, Corleone pretended to cooperate rather than openly oppose him 12.

After the Brave Companions’ internal fighting, Corleone pursued sword training instead of relying entirely on random system draws. Brienne taught him proper longsword technique and praised his perseverance. She also apologized for misjudging him after he sacrificed promised gold, a title, and lands to secure her release 25 26.

On the road, Corleone successfully treated Hogg’s arterial bleeding but retained a grudge against Harag Stow for withholding his money and humiliating him. Jaime later recalled that Corleone had trapped Stow and his companions and caused their deaths over the dispute 34 35 48.

When Walton attempted to seize Arya Stark for Roose Bolton, Corleone fought him despite being physically outmatched. The confrontation ended with Walton helpless under the rules of Corleone’s wager ability and Corleone passing judgment on his betrayal 45 46.

Establishing Order in Flea Bottom

Corleone entered King’s Landing without an inherited title or recognized noble background, relying instead on influential friends and his ability to negotiate. His initial court office, Chief Intelligence Officer of the Small Council, supplied little direct authority: it carried no treasury access, no Small Council seat, and no power to command the City Watch 54 77.

He established the Black Hand Mafia in Flea Bottom and imposed rules against coercion and oppression. Paid work, street cleaning, medical care, and protection became the foundations of his local authority 68 73.

After identifying amygdalin and lead in a septon’s supposed medicine, Corleone ordered enough food for ten thousand people for more than a month. He announced soup kitchens and clinics requiring no prayers or scripture and declared war on the Seven 91.

At the House of Order’s completion banquet, he shifted the community from emergency food relief toward employment, wages, and dignity. He also punished Carl for using intimidation to take a dockworker’s job for a relative, ordering the job restored and assigning Carl a month of porter work 103.

Knighthood and the Mountain

Following his knighthood, Corleone held a banquet attended by prominent nobles. Gregor Clegane attacked him and insulted Jaime and Brienne. Corleone answered by systematically striking gaps in the Mountain’s armor, disabling both knees, and demanding an apology to his friends. He subsequently disclosed that he had cut out Gregor’s tongue 115 119 121.

Tywin sent Gregor to Pycelle for treatment and declared the immediate dispute settled. Corleone then promised Oberyn another opportunity to kill the Mountain, asking for a favor in return 121.

Dragonstone

At Dragonstone, Corleone offered the Black Hand Mafia’s ability to supply food, medicines, shipbuilding materials, weapons, armor, horses, and ships. Tywin nevertheless used him as a decoy for House Redwyne’s assault, leaving him imprisoned when the attack began 127 131.

Corleone freed Gendry, secretly passed Davos the key to his cell, and rejected the suggested boat escape route. Instead, he navigated the castle with Insight, rescued the wounded knight Eron, and followed him toward Shireen. Corleone became Shireen’s godfather, demanding trust while emphasizing the responsibility and danger attached to her name 131 132.

He also became a stern mentor to Gendry, repeatedly rescuing him while teaching him survival and restraint. During subsequent negotiations, Corleone adopted the name Al Capone and presented himself as a foreign military adviser 136 137 141.

Autonomy and the Ring of Order

While publicly rebuilding Flea Bottom, Corleone infiltrated the City Watch through its middle and lower ranks. Medical assistance, loans, financial arrangements, and help with grievances secured the cooperation of men responsible for patrols, supplies, and gates 147.

He later entered Tywin’s bedroom, demonstrated his intelligence network’s reach, and threatened him at swordpoint. Tywin agreed to withdraw the Gold Cloaks from Flea Bottom and recognize a tax-favored autonomous zone, with its security force limited to three hundred civilian volunteers 152.

The Mountain’s later transformation exposed a limit to Corleone’s combat abilities. His attacks no longer reliably disabled Gregor, whose strength, speed, and resistance to pain had increased dramatically. Tywin eventually stopped the confrontation, and Corleone arranged a public trial by combat at his arena, with Oberyn volunteering to fight 167 168.

At the Ring of Order, Tommen publicly praised Corleone as a true knight before a cheering crowd. Corleone later defeated Lyn Corbray with a steel sword, claimed Lady Forlorn under their wager, and invited Lyn to seek instruction at the House of Order 182 188.

Court Power and the Defeat of Tywin

Corleone became involved in the crown’s finances and its dealings with the Iron Bank. After envoy Naho Dimittis died, he reported that his men had concealed the death and recruited an assistant to forge the envoy’s correspondence, buying time rather than resolving the debt 193 200 208.

He also investigated disappearances in Flea Bottom and Tyrion’s kidnapping. The inquiry exposed the involvement of watch deputy Willis, who named Falyse as his superior in the scheme. Corleone later killed Willis himself 213 214.

After Cersei’s removal from state affairs, Corleone pressed the council to appoint a regent. His conflict with Tywin eventually culminated in Tywin’s defeat amid the ruins of the Great Sept. Corleone spared him, captured Cersei, and used Tommen’s public presence to announce that the king and queen had ordered her arrest. He instructed surviving nobles to repeat his account that Cersei had destroyed the Sept 224 247.

Later Developments

Corleone stopped Arya from assassinating Cersei in the Black Cells, insisting on a public trial. Gendry’s attempt to protect Arya awakened uncontrolled blood magic, forcing Corleone to confront him with Lady Forlorn and a Gold Dragon 251.

He subsequently exposed fabricated accusations presented by Randyll Tarly against Black Hand Mafia members. Later, as Tywin departed to address Euron Greyjoy’s attack on Lannisport, Corleone promised to bring Jaime back from the North to inherit Casterly Rock—even threatening to march north himself if Jaime refused 262 283.

Appearance

Corleone is a young man with black eyes, initially described as thin and physically unremarkable. His increasingly commanding presence contrasts with his often plain clothing 26 103 131 193.

  • Eyes: Clear, dark eyes repeatedly emphasized during negotiations and confrontations 26 54 118.
  • Clothing: Simple dark gray robes and practical, subdued garments rather than habitual luxury 111 154.
  • Armor: Wears plain dark gray armor during his knighthood ceremony and black armor in the arena 109 188.
  • Emblem: A black hand displayed on his cloak; his gray-white cloak becomes a recognizable feature during public confrontations 111 117 121.

Personality

Corleone treats caution as a condition of survival. He studies people, conceals his intentions, and accepts temporary humiliation when resistance would undermine a larger plan. He regards anger as costly because it impairs judgment precisely when clear thinking matters most 14 55 131.

His friendships combine genuine protection with explicit reciprocity. He sacrifices valuable rewards for Brienne, defends Jaime’s moral choices, and expects those he helps to support him and his future family when needed. His insistence that he never abandons a friend is also the foundation of a network of obligations 12 26 119.

His concern for ordinary people coexists with severe ruthlessness. He provides employment, medicine, and protection, but also uses torture, assassination, intimidation, and execution. His treatment of Derek, killing of Gyles, and execution of Willis show that medical expertise and personal composure do not restrain him from calculated violence 5 91 103 214.

Corleone prizes money without treating accumulation as its only purpose. Gold purchases system upgrades, finances his institutions, and creates leverage. He is equally willing to pursue unpaid debts, subsidize allies, or offer interest-free loans when doing so strengthens his position 7 70 75 232.

Abilities & Skills

System and Paid Advancement

  • Skill draws: Paid draws are offered at apprentice, veteran, expert, master, and grandmaster levels, costing 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000, and 1,000,000 Gold Dragons respectively 1.
  • Direct upgrades: Existing skills can be improved with gold; Corleone deliberately learns swordsmanship through practice before spending money to strengthen it 25 45.
  • Skill limit: His current authorization permits five ranked skills, excluding unranked abilities. Acquiring additional skills requires raising one to level 5 or obtaining an unrestricted draw opportunity 79.
  • Random results: Draws are not guaranteed to supply useful combat skills, as demonstrated by Bed Technique 79.

Surgery

Corleone combines modern medical training with a ranked Surgery skill 1 79.

  • Diagnoses infection, necrosis, arterial injury, and other traumatic wounds 3 12 34.
  • Performs debridement with a heated blade and uses hot saline, honey, and bandages for wound care 3.
  • Applies anatomical knowledge to sword angles and vulnerable targets 79.
  • Can adapt available sharp implements—including daggers, swords, and glass—to surgical purposes 84.
  • Recognizes when treatment cannot save a patient, as with the dying Eron 132.

Insight

  • Sharpens awareness of nearby activity and helps detect approaching danger 14 131.
  • Allows close study of an opponent’s posture, movements, and repeated attack patterns 26 79 188.
  • Supports stealthy movement through guarded locations and unfamiliar corridors 91 131.
  • Improves observation rather than guaranteeing safety: the altered Mountain pushes his level 4 Insight to its limits 167.

Dignity

  • Magnifies qualities Corleone already possesses—knowledge, composure, confidence, and control—rather than creating them from nothing 21.
  • Makes his speech more persuasive and his authority harder to dismiss 21.
  • At level 3, can overwhelm weaker-willed people when reinforced by his tone and circumstances 75.
  • Can be concentrated on a single target, as demonstrated against Petyr Baelish 118.
  • At level 4, adds oppressive psychological pressure during combat 188.

Swordsmanship

  • Learns coordinated force generation from Brienne, using the feet, hips, and shoulders rather than isolated arm strength 26 119.
  • Combines sword skill, Insight, and anatomical knowledge to exploit armor joints and bodily weaknesses 79 119.
  • Prefers economical dodges and precisely timed counters over prolonged exchanges of brute strength 119 136.
  • Defeats the original Mountain and disarms Lyn Corbray without needing a Valyrian steel weapon 119 188.
  • Remains limited by stamina and physical matchups; the altered Mountain resists injuries that would disable an ordinary opponent 167 168.

Fate’s Gambit

  • Keeps a special Gold Dragon in his pocket that cannot be spent as currency 1.
  • Can forcibly initiate a wager when an enemy attacks him 1.
  • If the opponent continues attacking, grants 100% immunity to the next instance of damage and the right to execute that opponent 1.
  • Has a seven-day cooldown; it is not continuous invulnerability 1 2 25.
  • The later system panel labels its unranked entry Fate Wheel 25.

Intelligence and Organization

  • Recruits useful contacts through medical care, loans, legitimate income, and help with personal grievances 147.
  • Builds influence among servants, workers, watch officers, clerks, and gate personnel rather than relying only on prominent nobles 147 152.
  • Uses employment, sanitation, clinics, relief stations, and Community Wardens to consolidate territorial control 73 193.
  • Employs bargaining, staged tests, information control, and public spectacle to turn crises into political or commercial opportunities 168 208 232 247.

  • Special Gold Dragon — The non-spendable coin associated with Fate’s Gambit 1.
