The moment Mo Ling saw the great door, that thought came to him.

Engravings of varying depths outlined the continents and oceans with perfect clarity, while rises of differing heights vividly depicted the paths of every mountain range. The map relief contained no exaggeration, yet it displayed the grandeur of the entire world to the fullest.
The map had been carved directly onto the door, its seam running through the center like the axis around which the entire Earth rotated. Countless mountains and seas seemed to turn with the Earth's rotation. Cloud mist drifted over the ranges, waves crashed upon the beaches, and the majestic atmosphere seemed to leap from the carving and float before Mo Ling.
He had not looked at a World Map in a very long time. Though it had often been before his eyes in the past, he had not seen it since coming to the Abyss. Gazing at the map now, he felt a deep longing rise within him.
