"Such strong winds should affect those helicopters too, right?"

Mo Ling turned to look. The black dots that had been hovering in the sky had already vanished.

"They're gone? Did they land?"

Looking at the empty sky, Mo Ling had a bad feeling.

The clouds overhead were moving rapidly, seemingly gathering around the source of that tremendous boom. It had been a clear day, with only a few white clouds in the sky, but now they seemed to be growing thicker and thicker.

"They're drifting in from farther away."

Watching the clouds' movement, Mo Ling quickly reached that conclusion.

The clouds gathered where the boom had originated, and then...

"They're falling?"

Mo Ling looked into the distance. He was simply too far away, with many tall buildings between them, so he could not see clearly. Still, he could vaguely make out the clouds at the center of the boom converging into a pitch-black mass that was steadily descending toward the ground.

"They must have been drawn over by the airflow too..."

Black smoke was rising from the center as well. It seemed the earlier tremors had triggered a chain reaction, setting something on fire somewhere.

The more Mo Ling looked, the more it resembled a "black hole."

"Could some laboratory have been running a black hole experiment and accidentally let a black hole loose?"

Mo Ling carefully considered the location of that boom. It seemed to have been a large shopping mall before, not any kind of laboratory.

"Forget it. I can't figure it out. Keep running."

During that brief observation, Mo Ling had also managed to catch his breath.

The wind was still blowing, but it was not entirely against him. The river channel itself ran at an angle, so he was not running directly into the wind.
