The deep-blue pool rippled. The glowing algae had gathered into clusters, like jellyfish floating in the water. They waved their strange "tentacles" as if greeting the two visitors.
Dew condensed on the tree roots dripped into the pool, sending ripples across its surface. The waves spread over the tranquil water into the distance, striking the clustered algae and bringing those "jellyfish" to life as they began to swim.
Looking at this scene, it really felt brimming with life.
"There are no fish in here..." Lu Youqi said softly as he looked at the pool, clear enough to see straight to the bottom.
"Should there be fish here?" Mo Ling asked.
They had both instinctively felt that this "vibrant" pool ought to contain more living creatures, yet apart from the glowing algae, there was nothing else.
No fish, no crustaceans, not even aquatic insects.
The two came to the pool's edge and watched the water slowly submerge the tree roots. Strangely, it gave them a "viscous" feeling.
They crouched down at the same time and lightly touched the surface of the pool.

What was more, the blue glow in the water seemed to crawl directly up along their fingers. Even after they shook off all the water, the light remained attached to their hands.
