"Run!"
The moment Mo Ling saw the tentacle clearly, alarm bells blared in his mind. He immediately decided to flee.
Once his body caught up, he quickly began moving. Although Mo Ling still had no idea what the tentacle was, a monster like that appearing in the deep sea could not possibly mean anything good.
It might wrap him up and eat him outright!
If he ran now, he might still have a chance at survival...
However, Mo Ling's "running" speed was far too slow. He had barely turned around and run for a short while before the tentacle caught up to him.
But strangely, the tentacle did not attack him. It simply followed him.
Wherever he went, the tentacle followed. When he turned, it turned with him, as if it were merely playing alongside him.

Even as he fled, Mo Ling continued observing the tentacle.
It was long and thick, somewhat like a jellyfish and somewhat like an octopus. Its shape gave no clue as to what kind of marine creature it was, but its color was extremely unusual. Mo Ling had never seen such dazzling colors before. It was as though countless tiny pixels of different colors had been gathered onto a single tentacle, each one flashing with colorful light that made his head spin.
"This definitely isn't any normal marine creature..."
Mo Ling came to that conclusion. Even knowing that the tentacle might not mean him harm, he still did not dare stop.
What if it was simply toying with its prey before hunting? The moment he stopped, the tentacle might
