Mo Ling sat in a laboratory chair, examining himself through his field of vision.

He had the utterly ordinary body of an adult man, dressed in the experimental clothing provided by the institute. But looking higher, one could see something decidedly out of the ordinary.

Where his head should have been was a metallic cube. It was slightly larger than a normal head, gleaming beneath the laboratory's harsh lights.

Mo Ling raised a hand and touched the cube's smooth surface. It felt much like ordinary metal. He could not sense any tactile sensation, yet he could feel the force coming from his hand, as though he were wearing a thick steel helmet and touching that helmet with his hand.

He had turned back into a human, but not completely...

During the days following the transformation, Mo Ling cooperated with the experiments while studying his strange appearance.

His body had become considerably more "sturdy." Even the weapons prepared by the laboratory could not penetrate his skin. It seemed that he had acquired the same properties as the cube—indestructible and impenetrable.

"We observed a 'teleportation field' similar to the cube's around the experimental subject. Forces that come into contact with the subject's surface are severed directly. This indicates that force cannot be transmitted to the subject's body through normal means, nor can it break through the disguise displayed by the subject."

"The 'flesh' displayed by the experimental subject is, in essence, no different from the 'metal' in the cube form. At their root, both are hollow, massless points that present different appearances according to the method of disguise."

"It is like modeling in a game. No matter what model is placed over it, its essence remains the same string of code..."

The laboratory researchers had already explained it very clearly to Mo
