Plague Suppression Tower

The ape-like creature suddenly opened its eyes and fixed Mo Ling with its dark green pupils.

"Follow me. I can't hold on much longer." A faint voice came from the ape-like creature's abdomen.

Green Light Spots continuously spilled from the ruptured wound. Once they drifted into the air, they quickly vanished.

As the Light Spots dispersed, the ape-like creature's swollen belly gradually shrank.

"Who are you?" Mo Ling asked curiously.

"Green Life." The reply came from the ape-like creature's abdomen.

"What about Yellow Death?"

"It can't communicate with you. It says the aura around you is too terrifying."

Green Life crawled up from the stone bed and staggered deeper into the cave. Mo Ling immediately followed.

The Light Spots trailing behind Green Life formed a flowing green ribbon. It swayed its way to a concealed stone wall, used its last strength to push it open, then collapsed to the ground.

Behind the stone wall was the door leading to the next level.

"It was hidden here?"

If it had not led the way, Mo Ling would never have found this door.

"I'll wait for you above." The ape corpse lying on the ground spoke softly.

The green light in its abdomen grew scarcer and scarcer, until only a few scattered Light Spots remained. Its once-bulging belly shriveled completely and turned a decayed yellow.

The green glow in its pupils vanished entirely, and its gaze no longer held any life.

The ape-like creature on the ground had died again.

Its actions in guiding Mo Ling just now seemed to have been nothing more than a final flicker of life.

Green Life had used its power to create a "return to life." Once that power faded, the corpse died once more.
