"Where is everyone?"
A Qing's mind crashed with a boom.
He had already prepared himself mentally, but the empty Meeting Room rendered all that preparation useless.
"Old Ping..." he called hesitantly, but there was no response from inside.
The Robot Team members had vanished without a trace as well, leaving only a dinner banquet that had somehow been prepared.
"When was this made?"
He had not been gone for long. When he left earlier, the Meeting Room table had been completely empty. How had it suddenly become covered in dishes?
A Qing's mind was full of questions. He called up to the second floor several times, but still received no answer.
Everything around him was silent. He stood in the doorway as the flickering neon outside shone over him. The food on the table gave off faint steam, yet whoever had prepared it had disappeared.
Staring at the fragrant roast chicken on the table, A Qing suddenly froze.
This... had also happened in his Dream.
"I've seen this before!"
The roast chicken sizzling with oil, the neatly arranged tables, chairs, bowls, and chopsticks, the tomato soup steaming white...
He had experienced this scene while asleep.
But back then, he had not viewed it from this angle.
A Qing remembered seeming to circle the table several times, flying back and forth over the food. His field of vision had seemed incomparably free, able to go wherever he wished. He could even enter the food without any obstruction.
Had that been an illusory Dream, or a real experience?
White steam drifted through the air as neon light from outside shone in, passing through the vapor and turning it brilliantly multicolored.
