Awakening the Dreamer

"Team Leader, what do you mean? Are you saying everything I saw was a dream?"

"That's right."

The Team Leader placed his hands on Hu Le's shoulders.

"You are the Master of this dream, Hu Le."

"Me?" Hu Le murmured blankly, still unable to believe it.

The colorful Doppelganger before his eyes began to sway again, and the Team Leader's figure split into several outlines of different colors.

"Team Leader, if all of this is a dream, how do I wake up?"

"Waking up isn't the problem. As long as you realize this is a dream, you'll definitely wake up. But right now, your subconscious doesn't want you to wake up. Before you fell asleep, you must have had some purpose for entering the dream, something you intended to accomplish. But that purpose hasn't been fulfilled yet."

"Some purpose?"

"Yes, but only you know what it is."

The Team Leader let go of Hu Le's shoulders and looked at him encouragingly.

"What you need to do now is maintain this state between dreaming and waking, then recover your memories from before you fell asleep and figure out why you came here."

"Hu Le, close your eyes and start thinking. Begin with that dream where you were drowned in cola, then trace backward."

Hu Le obediently closed his eyes and recalled that metal space filled with cola.

"Will that really work? Just by imagining it?"

"It will. You are the Master of the dream. As long as you want it, you can do anything. Don't let the dream control you. Turn it around and control the dream..."

For some reason, after closing his eyes, Hu Le suddenly felt reassured. The Team Leader's words lingered by his ears, constantly soothing his already chaotic heart.
