"He said he came from the level above the Abyss," Xiao Kong answered blankly.
"And you believed that? Do you even know what the Abyss is?"
"No, Xiao Huang JieJie. We grew up in the Abyss. How would we know anything about the outside..."
"Then how can you be sure he was telling the truth?" the girl pressed.
"Instinct." After thinking for a moment, Xiao Kong gave an incredibly mystical answer. "I can sense that he bears us no hostility. When we first met, he didn't hurt us. On the way to the city center, he even helped me clear out many Celestial Soldiers."
"I could tell that his goal was very simple: to find his companions. As for us, he was only curious."

"After you send everyone into the shelter, go back first. I still need to stay and maintain the hive."
