[PS: Don't stockpile chapters, don't stockpile chapters! You could kill the story that way. The author is on their knees begging!]

At two in the morning, the night was dark and deep.

A villa on the outskirts of the Capital was in chaos.

Overpowering, domineering pheromones filled the air, nearly crushing every taut nerve.

The lavish crystal chandelier overhead illuminated every trace of panic and helplessness on the servants' faces.

As though the apocalypse had arrived, the hall was unusually noisy.

"Call Special Assistant Chen, quick! The CEO's pheromones are out of control again!"

"Several episodes a month! This is going to be the death of me!"

"How long until he gets here? Isn't Special Assistant Chen on call twenty-four hours a day?"

"Why not have Special Assistant Chen move in? He works better than suppressants!"

"..."

As though he had received word ahead of time, a refined, handsome man appeared in the entryway before the call even connected.

The light drizzle outside had soaked the shoulders of his black suit, lending even his exquisitely beautiful face a damp sheen. His long, featherlike lashes trembled slightly, sending droplets falling.

"Special Assistant Chen!" The butler hurried forward excitedly. "The CEO is in his bedroom."

Special Assistant Chen calmly folded his umbrella and placed it in the storage basket beside the entryway, then lifted his eyes, his voice warm and gentle. "What caused it this time?"

At the sight of the CEO's special assistant, the butler seemed to have swallowed a calming pill. His breathing steadied considerably, his asthma stopped acting up, and he could have climbed five flights of stairs in one go.

Still, he pressed the button for the villa's elevator. "That omega made the CEO angry again, what else!"

"If he'd just obediently let himself be marked, none of this would have happened!"

"Special Assistant Chen, you really must talk some sense into the CEO this time."

"He shouldn't lose his temper so easily. Getting angry makes his pheromones go haywire."

"And when they go haywire, he gets even more..."

Damn it, this was a vicious cycle!

Chen Bei was long accustomed to forced-love scenarios like these. His lips curved into a practiced, professional smile. "No problem. Sorry for the trouble; please lead the way."

At the sound of that clear, pleasant voice, the butler felt considerably more reassured. As he moved his weak legs, he silently gave Chen Bei a thumbs-up.

As expected of the star special assistant who had ranked number one at the company three years running, he remained composed under the crushing pressure of an S-class alpha.

His experience and ability, gained from working alongside the CEO year-round without a day off and closing countless merger, acquisition, and IPO cases, were no joke.

Managing the CEO's private life was even more effortless for him-

Without Special Assistant Chen tonight, they would probably be done for.

Ding-

Just as he reached that conclusion, the chime sounded.

The elevator reached the bedroom on the third floor. The instant its steel doors opened, icy cedar mixed with the smell of blood hit them full in the face, driving straight into their skulls.

The butler quickly covered his nose and mouth, his voice muffled. "I won't go any farther. Be careful, Special Assistant Chen."

"All right."

Special Assistant Chen nodded slightly, touched his gold-rimmed glasses with a fingertip, pushed them up, and strode toward the master bedroom on his long legs.

The bedroom door stood ajar, offering a clear view of a petite beauty trembling in the corner.

With his back to the entrance, the manic, violent CEO punched the wall without warning. Blood immediately seeped through the skin over his knuckles. "Didn't you do all this just to get my attention? Don't you know you're playing with fire?!"

"Get away from me! I didn't!" Though the pheromones pinned the little beauty in place, his wet eyes brimmed with defiance.

"Get away from you? Heh, you're the first omega who's ever dared say that to me!" The CEO bared his stark white teeth and lunged with a roar to bite the little beauty's neck.

Unexpectedly, someone strode in behind him and, with one swift motion, plunged a needle into the firm, muscular thigh exposed beneath his bathrobe.

"Hiss-"

It hurt.

The sheer efficiency of the movement stunned the CEO for a moment. When he turned, his eyes were dangerous. "Who dares..."

Special Assistant Chen said, "Sir, your special suppressant has been safely delivered."

"You-" The drug took effect rapidly, and much of the CEO's savage presence instantly faded. "Why are you here?"

Chen Bei glanced at the badly frightened omega, then replied in a businesslike tone, "You sent me a message. Have you forgotten?"

"I did?" Waves of pain came from his thigh, and the CEO couldn't help feeling puzzled. "Did I?"

Chen Bei smiled. "Of course."

No.

I knew the plot in advance and was afraid you'd torture the bottom lead half to death when your pheromones went haywire, so I came through the rain in the middle of the night. Remember to have accounting pay my overtime, thanks.

That was right. Three years ago, Chen Bei had transmigrated into a novel.

He had entered a novel titled "The Little Omega Runs Away with His Baby, the Top Alpha Searches the Entire City," which wore an ABO disguise but was really a melodramatic domineering-CEO story.

The bad news-he was cannon fodder who didn't deserve a full name. From beginning to end, he was only called Special Assistant Chen and existed to advance the plot.

The good news-the cannon fodder's salary was pretty high, with performance pay, equity, and year-end bonuses all included. Although he was on call twenty-four hours a day, his overtime pay always arrived on time and was never docked.

For a corporate slave who had worked himself to the bone in his previous life yet still earned a mediocre income, only to be laid off before thirty-five without even basic severance and end up jumping to his death,

the money wasn't important.

It was mainly about reclaiming his special assistant position, revisiting his special assistant expertise, and reviving that special assistant spi...

So he accepted the cannon fodder assignment, planning to retire with honors once he had saved five million.

After three years of diligent work, he was finally within sight of his goal and of leaving the melodramatic, coercive plot behind.

Chen Bei was in a particularly lovely mood. While the CEO went to change, he offered the bottom lead a handkerchief. "Wipe your tears. Apart from when his pheromones go haywire, the CEO is very gentle."

As the soft voice reached the bottom lead's ears, he slowly looked up. At the sight of that excessively beautiful face, his breath caught. "Thank you."

Chen Bei curved his lips. "You're welcome. Would you like me to take you home?"

The bottom lead hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Yes."

As he spoke, he started to stand, only for a cold, harsh rebuke to sound behind him. "You actually dare take away someone who belongs to me without my permission?!"

"Special Assistant Chen, you're getting bolder and bolder!"

Chen Bei turned. "Sir, I recall that you never let omegas stay overnight."

"Special Assistant Chen, I don't need you reminding me about overnight stays." The top lead sneered, his lips curling contemptuously. "Everyone in the company knows you work for the old man, planted at my side specifically to keep watch on me."

"...Sooner or later, I'll throw you out of the company and make sure there's no place for you in the Capital!"

Chen Bei had heard so much of this domineering-CEO talk that his ears were practically growing fur.

He wasn't the one paying Chen Bei's salary anyway. Chen Bei could just treat it as a fart and put up with the smell.

So Chen Bei smiled slightly and parted his lips, intending to use a stock response for a plot device dealing with his boss.

Yet when the words sprang from his throat, they came out with an entirely different flavor.

"You really nailed that bullshit act."

The words that slipped out were like a thunderclap out of a clear sky.

Chen Bei and the top lead froze at the same time.

Before either could react, an alarm sounded in his head.

[Attention, hosts across all parallel worlds!] [An unexpected system security incident has caused cheat functions to malfunction! Random matching may occur. Please prepare in advance!]

And so,

one second earlier.

Chen Bei: A cheat? Never heard of it! There's actually something that good?

One second later.

Chen Bei: Fuck! The Truth-Telling System? What the hell?

System, get out here! I promise I won't beat you to death!
