Chapter Summaries

Chen Nian visited Ye Hongling in Zhecheng as the Vermilion Bird egg was about to hatch. The little Vermilion Bird, Xiao Zhu, was born, and the siblings’ divine power awakened in Chen Nian and Ye Hongling; Xiao Zhu ended the chapter tugging Chen Nian over to sleep beside her and Ye Hongling.

• Chen Nian went to Ye Hongling’s hidden chamber instead of joining the trip to the God-Demon Capital, where she showed him the Vermilion Bird egg she had been keeping warm.
• The egg hatched the next day, and the newborn Xiao Zhu nuzzled Ye Hongling and Chen Nian, who both carried the Vermilion Bird’s blood essence.
• The Vermilion Bird’s phantom thanked Chen Nian and Ye Hongling for protecting his little sister, revealed that his origin divine power now belonged to them, and disappeared after bidding her farewell.
