Lin Ze subconsciously opened his arms and took it in his arms.
The little girl was like a cannonball, which made his chest feel tight.
"Why are you here!" Aila raised his face, with a little mud on the tip of his nose, and his eyes were so bright.
"Let me take a look at you." Lin Ze patted the back of her head, picked her up from the ground, and let her step on the top of his boots.
Aila stepped on him naturally, holding his sleeves with his two little hands, looking up and smiling silly.
Amy caught up with him, looked at the two people with his hands on his hips and shook his head.
"You came just in time. This girl is becoming more and more unruly. She runs out without even wearing shoes."
Quinn poked his head out of the room with his messy hair and smiled when he saw it was Lin Ze.
"Hey, rare visitor."
"I came here smelling the fragrance of rice." Lin Ze carried Aila and walked into the house.
Breakfast is already set on the dining room table.
Warm oatmeal, thinly sliced brown bread, a plate of butter, a few pieces of fried bacon, and a pot of freshly brewed black tea.
"Sit down quickly." Amy greeted him.
Lin Ze put Aila on the chair, picked up the shoes on the ground, squatted down and put them on for her.
The little girl sat there obediently, her legs dangling over the edge of the chair, her eyes always glued to Lin Ze, as if she was afraid that he would suddenly disappear again.
Lin Ze stood up and saw Quinn coming over with a pot of oatmeal porridge. He lowered his voice and asked him, "What's going on? Are you running in the yard early in the morning?"
Quinn put the pot on the table and rubbed his nose.
"Since the day before yesterday, this girl has been obviously much more energetic than before. She wakes up before dawn, and when she wakes up, she can't sit still and runs around."
Lin Ze glanced at Aila who was drinking oatmeal obediently. This girl was indeed much better.
Only then did he notice that there were two chilblains on the back of Aila's exposed hands, but her mental state and physical flexibility had long lost the thin and morbid feeling she had before.
It seems that the wounds accumulated in the snow are being replaced by another more vigorous life force.
"The metal ring you gave me last time suppressed the magic power too much. If I put it on Aila directly, her own magic power activity would also be suppressed by the metal ring."
"So?"
"I plan to modify the strength of the metal ring to weaken its suppression effect. If possible, I want to make it a directional suppression, only for Obscurus."
"How's it going?" Lin Ze asked.
"At present, we have some ideas, and some details need further modification." Quinn shrugged.
"Of course, if someone can tell me how the magic power of Obscurus works, maybe the progress of this thing will be faster."
Lin Ze didn't speak. A person's name flashed in his mind, Newt·Scamander.
"Eat first, don't talk about business so early in the morning." Amy said.
Several people ate the meal very slowly. Amy and Quinn chatted about Diagon Alley's recent affairs. Lin Ze occasionally interjected a few words. Aila was holding his own small bowl at the side, eating oatmeal paste all over his face.
"You came so early in the morning, you didn't really come to have breakfast, right?" Quinn suddenly asked.
"Stop and take a look at her." Lin Ze said.
"Really?"
"Really."
Quinn obviously didn't believe it, but he didn't ask any further questions.
After finishing the meal, Aila helped Amy put away the tableware.
Lin Ze and Quinn were sitting at the door, looking at the bare lemon tree in the yard.
"Tell the truth." Quinn took out a shriveled tobacco bag from his pocket and rolled one.
"This girl is so special. I'm worried that over time, someone will notice something."
"Please pay more attention and I will help her find a good place as soon as possible."
"That's right." Lin Ze suddenly remembered something.
"I heard yesterday that Dark Lord hid something in Knockturn Alley. It seems to be related to eternal life."
Quinn paused while rolling the cigarette.
"Eternal life?"
"It's just that I don't know what it is yet." Lin Ze shook his head.
"I just want to remind you that things won't be peaceful there recently, so go there less often."
"We don't like to go to that damn place." Quinn put the freshly rolled cigarette behind his ear.
"What have you been doing recently? Why do you look worse than before?"
Lin Ze touched his face, "Is there any?"
"Well, it feels like I haven't slept in three days."
"Okay, there's been a lot going on lately."
Quinn sneered and pointed behind him with his chin.
Lin Ze turned around, and saw Aila standing at the door of the kitchen, twisting the hem of her skirt with her fingers, looking at him eagerly.
"Lin, you want to leave?" she asked softly.
"Not leaving."
Lin Ze walked over and knelt down, pinched her face and said, "Stay with you a little longer."
"Really?" Aila's eyes widened instantly.
"Of course, but you have to wash your face first. There is still food on your face." Lin Ze said.
Aila nodded, turned around and ran away.
"This girl is becoming more and more like a little lunatic." Quinn looked at Aila's back, with a hint of fatherly affection in his tone.
For most of the next morning, Lin Ze was soaked in Godric's Hollow.
He accompanied Aila to pick wild fruits in the back mountain, but the girl climbed faster than him. By the time he climbed to the top of the slope, panting heavily, the girl had already picked a full bag, and was sitting on a rock shaking her legs and smiling at him.
"I'm waiting for you to go to Hogwarts in the future. I wonder if you will be assigned to Gryffindor." Lin Ze sat down next to her, took out a wild fruit from his pocket, rubbed it on his clothes and stuffed it into his mouth, frowning with soreness.
"What is Gryffindor?" Aila asked.
"Hogwarts is an academy. Quinn should have told you, right? Hogwarts is a wizard school. There are four House Points students with different personalities."
Aila nodded.
"Then what college are you from?"
"Hufflepuff."
"Then I'll go too Hufflepuff."
"Don't worry, Sorting Hat will help you choose."
"Sorting Hat is a hat?"
"Yes, it's just that it can talk, sing, and help you choose a college."
"Can the hat talk? Wow, that's amazing!" Aila's eyes were filled with stars.
"Then can I bring it back?"
Lin Ze glanced at her and said seriously, "Then Dumbledore will call you to the office for tea."
"Who is Dumbledore?"
"Dumbledore... He is currently recognized as the greatest white wizard."
"Hmph! Then he won't be anymore soon, because I will also go to wizard school in the future to learn magic and surpass him."
Lin Ze took a deep breath and decided to skip this topic.
After lunch, when Lin Ze left Godric's Hollow, Aila stood at the door and did not hold on to his sleeve like last time.
"When will you come again?" she asked.
"I'll come in a few days when I have time."
"Oh." She lowered her head, drew a half circle with her toes on the stone slab, and raised her head again, "Will you die suddenly?"
Lin Ze was stunned for a moment.
"No." he said.
"Then you have to live a good life. When I grow up, I will marry you." Aila said seriously.
Lin Ze staggered and almost lost his balance when Quinn laughed loudly and Amy slapped his arm.
"Who taught you that?"
"Quinn brother said he couldn't tell you that he taught me..."
"Quinn, you're finished." Lin Ze walked into the green flame of Floo Network without looking back.
Before the fire engulfed his figure, he heard Quinn laughing endlessly behind him.
When Ministry of Magic returned, Lin Ze did not rush to the office. Instead, he went to Harper first and asked him to help find files about Newt·Scamander.
"Scamander?" Harper raised his head drowsily, not wiping the shit out of his eyes.
"Yes, that's him. He'll find as many as he can find."
"Okay, I'll give it to you tomorrow morning."
"Okay."
