"Then, please tell the defendant the specific details of your guilt. How did you tip off Dark Lord? How did you leak the Potters's hiding place? What happened between you and Peter·Pettigrew? Why did you kill him?"

This series of questions hit me like a barrage, each one hitting exactly where Sirius didn't want to touch.

Sirius lowered his head silently, his messy black hair covering most of his face, only revealing his thin chin.

Someone began to whisper in the auditorium.

"He didn't dare to say it anymore."

"Killing people and pretending to be pitiful is disgusting."

"Black family can come out with something good."

Lin Ze was sitting in the back row, tapping his fingers lightly on his knees.

Kingsley stood aside and said nothing, but his brows were always furrowed.

"The defendant."

Crouch knocked the gavel, "Please answer my question."

Sirius finally raised his head.

The expression on his face was unclear whether he was crying or laughing, "There's nothing to say. Things are just as you can see. I just plead guilty."

There was an explosion in the auditorium.

A witch sitting in the front row covered her mouth, her eyes filled with tears.

The bespectacled wizard next to her had his lips trembling, as if he was silently reciting some curse.

The pen in the reporter's hand scraped frantically on the parchment, making a rustling sound.

Crouch knocked the gavel again. "Quiet."

He lowered his head and wrote something on a document, then raised his head and continued to ask, "So, what is your motive?"

"Hahahaha... motive?"

"Hahahahaha... hahahaha..." Sirius suddenly laughed wildly, and his voice, which was low at the beginning, became more and more heartbreaking.

Sirius's laughter echoed in the courtroom.

The people in the gallery began to commotion uneasily.

Some people shrank back subconsciously, and some people covered their ears with their hands. The witch who shed tears just now stopped crying. Her expression now looked more like she wanted to leave this place quickly.

Crouch knocked the gavel three times in a row, but the sound of the gavel was completely swallowed up by laughter.

"Black, please control your emotions!"

Sirius ignored him.

He laughed so hard that he bent over, and tears rolled down his cheeks.

He laughed for a long time, so long that the commotion in the auditorium turned into awkward silence, so long that Crouch gave up banging the gavel and just stared at him with a frown.

Then, the laughter stopped abruptly.

Auror beside him stopped his laughter with Charms.

Crouch helplessly hit the table with his gavel, announcing that the trial would be temporarily postponed until tomorrow.

Sirius was dragged away by the two Auror, and everyone got up and left.

Lin Ze walked out of the courtroom silently with the flow of people, followed closely by Kingsley.

"Do you also think there is something wrong with...?" Kingsley caught up with Lin Ze from behind.

"Huh? What do you think?" Lin Ze glanced at Kingsley in surprise.

Kingsley said, "According to my understanding of Sirius, if he really did something to betray the Potters, he shouldn't have this reaction. He just looked more like..."

"It's more like being deliberately crazy in court. He seems to know something, but he doesn't want to tell the truth..."

"Well... let's go. Since there is something fishy here, let's go see him. Oh, by the way, does Special Operations Team have the authority to visit Sirius?"

"Maybe you can go find Mr. Crouch."

"Then let's go."

Lin Ze walked into the temporary detention area where Sirius was detained.

The magic torches on both sides of the corridor flickered brightly and dimly, and the firelight made the shadows on the wall sway, as if they were about to walk down the wall at any time.

The person in charge of guarding was an elderly wizard with thinning hair and a protruding belly.

At this time, he was lying on the table and taking a nap.

Lin Ze knocked on the table with his hand. The wizard suddenly jumped up and wiped it randomly with the back of his hand on his mouth. After his sleepy eyes saw that the person coming was Lin Ze, he immediately became more energetic.

"Mr. Lin! Why are you here?"

"Come and see Black."

"Ah... this..."

The wizard's expression looked like he had swallowed a fly, "Director Crouch has explained that Black is a key target of detention, and visits require his personal approval..."

Lin Ze took out a neatly folded piece of parchment from his pocket and unfolded it in front of the wizard.

Above it is Crouch's neat signature.

The jailer took the parchment and looked at it carefully, then quickly handed it back to Lin Ze, and hurriedly took off a bunch of keys from his waist, "Here, please."

Kingsley followed Lin Ze.

The temporary detention area is not large, with only a few cells in total.

Most of the cells are empty, and there are two Auror on duty standing at the door of the innermost cell.

When they saw Lin Ze and Kingsley approaching, they stood up straight at the same time.

"Mr. Lin, Mr. Kingsley."

"Thank you for your hard work, let's go in and talk to Black."

The two Auror glanced at the wizard who came with them. Seeing that the wizard nodded, they made way for the two of them.

The wizard opened the cell door and left with the two Auror.

The cell was very simple, with an iron frame bed and a washbasin.

Sirius was lying motionless on the bed, his messy black hair covering most of his face.

The cell was quiet for a while.

Kingsley was the first to speak, "Sirius, we just want to ask you a few questions."

Sirius: "I have nothing to say. You can judge me however you like, but please don't bother me again."

Lin Ze leaned against the wall and crossed his arms, "Do you think you are responsible for the Potters's death?"

Lin Ze's voice was not loud, but every word could be heard clearly in the small cell.

Kingsley glanced at Lin Ze subconsciously.

Lin Ze ignored it.

Sirius slowly sat up from the bed, his face covered by his messy hair, and his expression could not be seen clearly.

"What do you know?"

His voice was trembling. "You don't understand at all..."

Lin Ze shrugged. "So we came to ask you, you said you pleaded guilty, then tell me, how did you leak the Potters's hiding place to Dark Lord? Who did you pass the news through? When was it? Where was it?"

Sirius opened his mouth, but nothing came out.

"Can't tell? That's because you haven't done it at all."

"Actually, the only thing you did wrong was letting Peter·Pettigrew do Secret Keeper."

Sirius raised his head suddenly, stared at Lin Ze, his lips trembled, and it took him a long time to squeeze out a few words: "How do you know?"

"How I know is not important. What is important is that you cleverly changed Secret Keeper into Peter. You think you killed James and Lily. So you don't plan to defend yourself. You plan to use the prison of Azkaban to punish yourself."

Sirius felt as if someone had slapped him in the face, and the blood on his face faded away in an instant.

He opened his mouth, but no sound came out.

Kingsley watched all this silently from the side without interrupting.

"Have you ever thought about it?"

Lin Ze took a step forward and looked down at Sirius who was sitting on the bed.

"Your silence in court now is tantamount to letting the real traitor go free. If Peter·Pettigrew is still alive, he might laugh out loud in the sewers when he reads today's newspaper."

"What did you say?" Sirius's voice seemed to be choked by something.

"He... impossible, he is already dead. I saw it with my own eyes on that street..."

"What did you see?"

Lin Ze interrupted him, "Did you see him being blown to pieces? Or did you only see one finger?"

The cell was so quiet that you could hear the crackling sound of magic torches burning on the walls.

Sirius stared at Lin Ze without blinking.

Kingsley looked at Lin Ze, his brows furrowed deeper. He obviously realized that there was something in Lin Ze's words, but he did not choose to ask further questions at this time.

The silence lasted for a long time.

Then Sirius slowly lowered his head and said in a hoarse voice, "Why should I believe you."

"You don't need to believe me, but when the court opens tomorrow, you might as well try to tell a few more truths. It won't do you any harm. Besides, I don't think you want to cause the person who killed the Potters to continue to live comfortably outside, right?"

Lin Ze After saying this, he turned and walked towards the cell door.

Sirius behind him stared blankly at the leaving figure of Lin Ze.
