"Ministry of Magic I have already taken care of it. Her current identity is my distant cousin, no one will come to check."
"I have informed Scrimgeour. As long as she does not take the initiative to expose Obscurus's power in public, there will be no problem. Even if there is a problem in the end, it is my responsibility."
Quinn was silent for a while.
"Your arrangements are quite thorough, but if she can't control me... I'm not 100% sure of suppressing her." Quinn said hesitantly.
"That's what I was going to tell you."
Lin Ze took out a metal ring from Bados's laboratory and placed it on the stove.
"I found this from Bados's laboratory when I was France. That crazy master Potions invented an alchemy tool that can suppress the magic power of wizards."
"He put this thing on the wizards who turned into Animagus so that they could not return to their human form. I think this thing might also have an inhibitory effect on Obscurial."
Quinn picked up the metal ring and looked at it over and over.
The body of the ring was engraved with dense runes, glowing with a dull luster in the sunlight.
"It looks very powerful, but I don't know if it's reliable?" Quinn stuck out his tongue and licked his lips.
"Although Bados is perverted, his craftsmanship is really impressive. I personally saw him use this thing to imprison more than ten wizards in Marseille, trapping them in the Animagus form."
Quinn raised the metal ring to his eyes, squinted for a long time and looked at the circle of runes that looked like ant legs, then put his hand down, his expression becoming a little subtle.
"So you are planning to put this thing on Aila?"
"I think you might be able to improve it with your alchemy skills?" Lin Ze took back the metal ring from Quinn.
"Perhaps, it can be made into a ring or bracelet?"
"This work is a bit delicate..." Quinn scratched his already messy hair.
"Just say it's okay. I won't let you suffer any loss. I'll pay for the materials. You just need to use your smart brain and those skillful hands." Lin Ze put his hands together and made a sign of please.
"Hmm... huh? Ahem... Then I'll give it a try reluctantly." Quinn likes this the most.
He put the metal ring into his shirt pocket, then raised his head and looked at Lin Ze, "But you have to give me some time to study the runes on it."
"No problem." Lin Ze straightened up and glanced out from the kitchen door.
In the living room, Aila was still sitting on the sofa, with the same posture as before, with his hands neatly placed on his knees and his back straight.
Quinn followed his gaze and suddenly lowered his voice and asked, "You didn't mention Godric's Hollow to her, did you?"
"No, she doesn't need to know."
"That's fine." Quinn nodded and did not continue the topic.
Just then, there was the sound of a key turning at the front door.
The door was pushed open, and a red-haired woman walked in carrying large and small bags. She was wearing a dark green traveling cloak, and the ends of her hair were a little messy due to the wind outside.
There was a smile that made people feel like spring breeze, and the messy house became a little brighter because of her appearance.
"Quinn, I'm back, Diagon Alley is really... ugh today?"
Her voice stopped abruptly when she saw the little girl sitting in the living room.
"Whose child is this?" Amy put the bag in his hand on the shoe cabinet at the door.
Aila subconsciously shrank his neck and twisted his hands together until his knuckles turned white.
Lin Ze came out of the kitchen. "Hello, Mrs. Travers."
Amy was stunned for a moment, then turned to look at Quinn who followed him out of the kitchen. She had not seen Lin Ze.
"Hey, Amy, this is the Auror friend I told you before, Lin, that's his niece, Lin, this is my wife, Amy."
Aila timidly raised his head and said in a voice as small as a mosquito, "Hello."
"Oh, hello, hello."
Amy quickly walked to the sofa, bent down, and touched Aila's hair.
She didn't ask where Aila came from, nor why she looked so thin. She just gently rubbed the little girl's hair.
After looking at it, he dug out a paper bag from the pile of things he just bought, took out a piece of Chocolate Frog, and stuffed it into the palm of Aila.
"There's nothing to eat at home. Let's have a piece of Chocolate Frog. I just bought it from Diagon Alley."
Aila looked down at Chocolate Frog in his hand and was stunned for a moment.
"It... it's moving..."
This time it was Amy's turn to be stunned, and then she immediately said, "Haha, haven't you tried it before? Don't worry, it's just a kind of magic, it's not alive, it's just a chocolate."
Aila nodded hesitantly, then took a bite carefully.
Chocolate Frog's head was bitten off by Aila, and her legs were kicked twice by her hand.
The little girl was startled, but she quickly reacted and held it tightly with her hands, her eyes widened as if she was afraid it would run away.
"How is it?" Amy asked with his eyes bent.
"Good... delicious." Aila's voice was still very small.
Quinn walked to his wife, whispered something in her ear.
Lin Ze didn't listen deliberately, but he could probably guess what Quinn was talking about. It was nothing more than an explanation of Aila's identity, origin, and the time bomb in her body.
Amy As he listened, his brows furrowed slightly, but they soon relaxed.
She did not express any opinion, but waited for Quinn to finish speaking, then glanced at Lin Ze.
Then she turned her head again and looked at Aila who was trying hard to compete with half a piece of Chocolate Frog.
"Quinn, collect your broken parts, don't leave our guests without a place to stay."
Quinn glanced at the metal parts on the floor with a grimace, then took out the wand inserted in his waist and tapped it lightly.
Then the parts on the ground began to float into the air on their own, and they were placed in an orderly queue one by one into the cardboard box under the far wall.
"Amy I'm sorry to disturb you. I want Aila to stay with you for a while." Lin Ze said.
"Of course." Amy said with certainty.
"We rarely have guests at home. Ever since Quinn had a falling out with the family because of me, our former friends have stopped contacting us."
Lin Ze was stunned. "Have you fallen out with your family?"
"You don't know?" Amy looked at Lin Ze in surprise.
"I haven't told Lin." Quinn said.
Later, Quinn and Lin Ze talked about what happened between him and Amy.
It's roughly the kind of plot where Pure-blood families is not allowed to marry a Half-blood witch. Quinn insists on his choice, and then is expelled from the family tree by the Travers family...
"Okay, okay, when I first met you, I was still thinking about how this Travers didn't look so annoying."
After Lin Ze finished speaking, Quinn looked at each other, and then the two of them laughed.
"Okay, okay, since you're here, let's stay here for lunch. I happened to buy fresh beef. Let's fry the steak for lunch." Amy said enthusiastically.
"That's right! Lin, you have to stay and try Amy's cooking. I swear, even when Hogwarts was in school, I never had such delicious food. Ever since I tasted Amy's food, I swear that I will never marry her except her in this life."
"No formal appearance!" Amy smiled and glanced at Quinn who was showing off to Lin Ze.
"If you say that, then I really want to try Amy's craftsmanship." Lin Ze didn't treat them politely.
When Amy started to enter the kitchen and get busy, Lin Ze pulled Quinn aside.
"Hey, I just said I would pay you for the materials. Take these and buy whatever you need." Lin Ze took Quinn's hand and put the Dragon Hide pocket given by Karkaroff into his hand.
"I'm going! Brother, what are you doing!" Quinn's eyes widened.
Dragon Hide's pocket is heavy, weighing about two or three kilograms, and there must be at least two hundred pieces of Galleon inside.
Quinn pushed his pocket to Lin Ze: "I'm just doing you a favor, no need..."
"This is not an ordinary job. Aila is here. Both you and Amy are at risk. There is no other meaning in giving you this money. Aila needs to spend money on food and clothing here. As you just said, you were kicked out by the family. I'm afraid you don't have any savings, right?"
"Uh..." Quinn scratched his head bitterly.
What Lin Ze said is indeed true. Although he and Amy have lived well over the past few years, they really have little savings on hand.
Lin Ze saw Quinn's embarrassment at a glance. "Okay, that's it. The money is not much, you can use it first. Now your brother, what I don't need the most is Galleon."
Quinn hesitated for a while, looked at Lin Ze's sincere eyes, and then said without any further shirk, "Okay, then I'll accept it."
