Florida zhou, Miami.
The night is dark, and the luxurious manor below is looming in the moonlight and night.
Peter stood on the roof of the speeding car, with Tony and sixteen sets of Iron Man Armor hovering behind him. The blue-white light beam emitted from the nozzle of the suit illuminated the surrounding area as if it were daytime, which was equivalent to directly drawing a huge human-shaped target for the enemies on the ground.
Sure enough, the guards in the manor rushed out in a swarm, dozens of guns pointed in the air.
Peter moved his wrist, and the joints made a soft popping sound, and joked, "Tony, let's drive a speeding car and bring sixteen sets of Iron Man Armor to check in as a group. Isn't it a little low-key enough?"
"Maybe," Tony said in a casual tone, "But stealth is Natasha's specialty, not mine. There are about thirty gunmen with automatic weapons below, how do you want to deal with them?"
"Full fire!"
Before he finished speaking, Peter stepped on his feet, and the Repulsor Cannon behind the suit suddenly erupted, turning into a red and blue afterimage and swooping down, heading straight towards the central courtyard where the guards were most densely guarded.
"Try this, guys!"
Peter casually threw a few spider web grenades. The grenades exploded above the crowd, and the extremely sticky polymer Silk spread instantly, sticking a dozen gunmen into a pile of human flesh dumplings that could not move.
Almost at the same time as it landed, Peter felt a chill down his spine, and Spider-Sense exploded!
He jumped backwards without warning, almost somersaulting past the dense net of bullets. The moment he landed, he slipped and accurately broke the legs of the two strafers, hitting them with two heavy punches and knocking them unconscious on the spot.
Tony then swooped down, and the palm cannon and micro-missiles exploded one after another, sweeping away the enemies around them like a devastating blow.
Seeing that the guards in the courtyard were about to be cleared away, an unprecedented sense of crisis suddenly hit Peter's heart, and cold sweat instantly wet his back!
"Tony! Let's go!"
Peter shouted and threw himself at Tony. Tony subconsciously hugged Peter, a little confused. "What's wrong? What happened?"
"Stop asking, take off! Take off at maximum speed!"
Tony did not hesitate, the soles of his suit breathed fire, bringing up a line of white smoke rising from the ground.
The two of them had just flown to an altitude of more than ten meters when the entire manor beneath their feet suddenly began to tremble violently!
Boom--!
The sky-high firelight and the huge shock wave instantly blew everything away. The scorching wave hit the two of them hard, and the armor on Peter's back and legs was instantly melted by the high temperature, and there was a severe burning sensation on the skin. Fortunately, the self-healing factor was already frantically repairing the injuries.
The huge aftermath of the explosion pushed the two of them hundreds of meters away, and a set of Iron Man Armor quickly came up to catch them.
The entire Miami manor has been reduced to a sea of flames and ruins, and none of the guards inside have been spared.
"Are you okay, Spider-Man?" Tony stabilized his body and shook his head.
"You can't die," Peter rubbed his buzzing ears, "My back is just cooked."
He raised his hand and sprayed a large amount of Silk on his back, temporarily sealing the damaged armor and wounds.
"How did you know in advance?" Tony looked at the sea of fire below in shock.
"I have a natural ability to predict danger," Peter breathed a sigh of relief, "It felt like someone hit me on the back of the head with a sledgehammer. These ruthless people even blew up their own people in order to silence them."
"A bunch of lunatics." Tony gritted his teeth.
"We have to find their main force quickly," Peter suppressed the ringing in his ears, "The Mandarin and Aldrich·Killian are definitely not here. Sassy, JARVIS, are there any traces of them on the Internet?"
"Sorry, Spider-Man, there are no clues on the entire network." Sassy reported.
"Sir, there is no location information on the Internet, but the Mandarin just released a latest video." JARVIS added.
"Playing points." Tony said in a deep voice.
"He publicly executed a United States citizen during a live broadcast. President Ellis had previously personally called and begged him to stop, but he still carried out the execution."
"Damn!" Peter cursed, "Did he say what he was going to do next?"
"No, sir."
The two fell into a brief silence.
Peter blinked, thoughts racing in his mind. Now was the perfect time to reveal plot information, and he planned to test his limits.
"Tony, actually I can probably guess what he wants to do." Peter said.
"Huh? Tell me about it."
"The Mandarin has been exaggerating his hatred for Western civilization and has been building momentum for so long. There must be an ultimate goal, right? Since he has just played a trick on the president, the president must be in extreme panic now. According to the security procedures, where is the president most likely to go now?"
Tony's eyes narrowed. "Air Force One!"
"Yes, Aldrich's target is the president!"
"JARVIS! Invade Department of Homeland Security and immediately lock the route position of Air Force One!" Tony made a prompt decision.
"Understood, the location has been synchronized to your and Spider-Man's helmet displays."
Air Force One is currently flying over Washington, and it will take them more than three hours to arrive.
Peter jumped back into the driver's seat of the flying car, Tony escorted them in the air, and the two of them galloped towards the target at full speed.
"JARVIS, contact Rhodey." Tony ordered, then turned to look at Peter in the car, "Peter, I have to say, you are really good at being a detective."
"Excellent, practice makes perfect." Peter shrugged.
"Sorry, sir," JARVIS's voice suddenly interrupted, "Colonel Rhodes cannot be contacted."
Peter's face changed slightly. "Advanced Idea Mechanics may have already attacked him. JARVIS, can you locate his suit?"
"Unable to locate. The reconstructed 'Iron Patriot' has deleted all remote control backdoors and I cannot trace its signal."
"Iron Patriot... What a funny name." Peter snorted coldly, remembering the time in his previous life when Norman·Osborn wore this suit and pretended to be a good guy.
"Damn it," Tony spat, "I hope Rhodey can withstand it."
"If you call the president's personal phone number directly, we have to warn him." Peter reminded.
The phone was connected and projected into the car's stereo, and President Ellis's slightly aged voice came from inside. "Hello?"
"Ellis, it's me, Tony!"
"Tony? Why are you calling me now?"
"Listen, the Mandarin's next target is you! He plans to attack on the plane, you must evacuate Air Force One immediately!"
The president's confident and even somewhat complacent voice came from the other end of the phone. "Don't worry Tony, I've been prepared. I hired Iron Patriot as a personal bodyguard. He just got on the plane..."
"What?!" Tony exclaimed, "No! That's not Rhodey! Someone snatched his suit! He's not--"
"Ah--!"
