As the door handle turned with a "click", Peter's figure disappeared outside the door. The sound of a heavy door closing echoed in the room, and the room suddenly fell into silence.

Liz City Lord stood up slowly and nodded to everyone present. "It's time for me to say goodbye." After saying that, he left the room with steady steps.

Now, only Yavi and his family were left in the room. Maya immediately walked quickly to Yavi, held his hand tightly with both hands, and said with a trembling voice, "My child, it will be okay, we will find a way..."

Herbert stood aside silently, frowning. "If it weren't for us, you wouldn't be exposed to the sight of these people..."

Yavi shook his head and said firmly, "That's not the case, father. If I were not there, you might all be exposed to danger. Compared with that, I would rather put myself in danger."

Hearing these words, Maya's tears immediately burst into her eyes. She hugged Yavi, pressed her head tightly against Yavi's chest, and kept sobbing. Yavi gently patted her mother's back and comforted her softly, "Don't worry too much, I think I will be fine. Isn't there still a chance? Let's not be too pessimistic."

He looked around at the tired faces of his family and said softly, "It's getting very late. Let's all go back and rest."

Outside the window, the night wind blew through the treetops and made a rustling sound, as if in response to this restless night.

In the next few days, the sun in the Royal City was exceptionally bright. Yavi took his family to visit the Royal Garden, taste honey cakes at the market, and watch performances by street performers. Without the conversation that night, this would have been a perfect holiday. Mel even joked that this was the most leisurely weekend they had had in the past few years.

In the early morning of the fifth day, Yavi was in the room of Mel and Amy, playing with her little sister's dolls. Amy's silvery laughter filled the room. It filled the whole room. At this moment, a blue magic sound suddenly flashed in Yavi's ears, and Peter's funny voice sounded directly in his mind, "Boy, come to the laboratory."

Yavi's body visibly froze, and the puppet in his hand slipped to the ground. The keen Mel immediately discovered Yavi's anomaly. "What's wrong? Is there... any news?" Her voice lowered unconsciously.

Yavi took a deep breath, bent down and picked up the doll and handed it to Amy: "Brother has something to deal with. Amy can you play with your sister first?" The little girl nodded obediently, but her big eyes were already filled with anxiety.

"Be careful." Mel chased to the door, holding the door frame tightly with his fingers. Yavi turned around and gave her a comforting smile, but when he turned around, he unconsciously quickened his pace.

The spiral stone steps of the West District tower cast jagged shadows in the sunlight. When Yavi had just stepped onto the first step, magical ripples like water waves suddenly appeared in the air, and an invisible resistance blocked him. The next second, the barrier dissipated like morning mist.

Pushing open the heavy oak door of the laboratory, Yavi saw Peter speaking to a suspended purple prism. A vague human voice came from the prism. "We've arrived, let's talk another day." Peter waved his hand, and the prism immediately broke into stars and dispersed in the air.

"Sit." The fat warlock pointed to the armchair in front of him, and the teapot floated automatically, pouring a cup of steaming black tea for each of them. Peter held the tea cup and took a sip, and the aroma of tea filled the room.

"You know the reason why I called you here, so I'll tell you straight away." He put down the teacup, and the saucer made a clear clinking sound, "Sicco Jett and Loriess have been contacted. There is good news, and there is bad news." He paused meaningfully, "Which one do you want to hear first?" As he spoke, he held up the teacup again, and the steaming heat blurred his eyes behind the lenses.

Yavi's fingers gently rubbed the edge of the tea cup, and the warm aroma of tea could not dispel the uneasiness in his heart. "Let's hear the good news first," he finally said.

Peter put down the teacup, and the saucer made a crisp sound when it hit the table. "Sicco Jett has arrived at Academy of Sorcerers," his voice was calm and steady, "Your demon hunter brother is not coming out. As expected, the request was agreed to. Loriess will also leave for the academy in the next few days." The corners of the fat warlock's mouth raised slightly, "Now Sicco Jett is lobbying his old friends, it shouldn't be difficult to get the fifth vote."

Yavi's tense shoulders relaxed obviously. He picked up the teacup and took a sip. "What about the bad news?"

The laboratory suddenly became quiet, with only the occasional slight popping sound from the firewood in the fireplace. Peter was silent for a moment, folding his hands on his round belly. "A few days ago," his voice suddenly became deeper, "Kaer Morhen was attacked."

The tea cup trembled violently in Yavi's hand, and a few drops of black tea splashed on the table.

"School of the Wolf suffered heavy losses." Peter continued, his eyes behind the lenses watching Yavi's reaction, "Sicco Jett released high-level magic at the cost of life in order to protect the remaining demon hunters."

Yavi's pupils suddenly shrank, and he stood up suddenly, the chair making a harsh sound on the floor. But before he could speak, a soft blue magic halo gently pushed him back to his seat.

"May Melitele grant you calmness," Peter made an ancient prayer gesture with a rare gentleness in his voice, "To accept what cannot be changed; grant you the courage to change what can be changed."

Yavi's breathing gradually stabilized, but his knuckles were still white. "Who... attacked Kaer Morhen?" His voice was hoarse.

"I have some guesses, but there is no conclusive evidence yet." Peter held up the tea cup again, "Those people underestimated Sicco Jett. As a warlock, his magic power reserves are indeed limited, but the magic at the cost of life..." He paused meaningfully, "Law of Life is supreme, and that kind of power far exceeds ordinary high-level magic."

The sound of wind outside the window suddenly became rapid, beating against the glass windows of the tower.

"Fortunately, most of the demon hunters survived," Peter continued, "Sicco Jett has dispersed them and ordered them not to return to Kaer Morhen within ten years." He looked directly into Yavi's eyes, "So, child, that is no longer your place."

Peter took a sip of tea and then gently put the cup back on the saucer. The porcelain made a crisp sound when it collided. "You already know the situation now." His round fingers tapped on the table in a slow rhythm, "When I finish handling the matters at hand, I will open the portal to take you to Academy of Sorcerers."

The sound of wind outside the window faded, and the laboratory fell into a brief silence. The firelight of the fireplace danced on Peter's lenses, reflecting his slightly tired eyes.

"These few days..." He paused and his voice suddenly became deeper, "Please spend time with your family." The words fell heavily in the air, "If the situation worsens..." Peter hesitated rarely, and ultimately did not finish the second half of the sentence, but the unfinished meaning already sent a chill down Yavi's back.

Yavi's Adam's apple rolled, and he looked down at his clasped hands. "I understand... Thank you, Master Peter."

The fat warlock stood up slowly, his robe dragging on the ground making a rustling sound. He personally delivered Yavi to the door, and the oak door slid open silently under the influence of magic.
