"Gwent?"

Arwen looked down at the scattered card groups on the table, with a smile on his lips.

Now that the talk has come to this, he has no reason to refuse.

"Of course, I just don't have a deck."

"Hey!" Dwarf Glenn patted his rough palms, "This is not easy to handle, poor guy Vaughn, please give your deck to this guest."

Vaughn spit on the ground and gave up his seat.

Arwen sat down and picked up the Vaughn deck. Although the card pattern was different from what he remembered, as a player of "The Witcher 3", he only took a quick glance and recognized that this was a Northern Realms deck built with the ballista unit as the core.

Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at the cards that the opponent had laid out on the table before he had time to sort them out. Several of them were of elves.

"Scoia'tael? No, it shouldn't be called that name yet, but it should be pretty much the same."

"And this deck, the special card is Biting Frost. If you can beat the opponent, you will be a ghost."

Silently removed two archer units and filled in two special environment cards.

"Sir Glenn, let's get started."

"It seems that you are very confident. Let's first say that the minimum bet for a game is 100 ducats."

"No problem."

Arwen took out 15 crowns and placed them on the table.

The eyes of the three people beside them lit up, and the dwarf Glenn shouted excitedly with a loud voice, "Refreshing! The old rule is, win two out of three games!"

Both sides drew ten cards from the shuffled deck, and the dwarf Glenn's eyes were filled with joy.

"Oh, this card is so damn exciting!"

Arwen looked at his cards, and he was also very lucky. There was an engineering backup, a spore for evolution (Mardroeme), a legendary king's knight, and Impenetrable Fog, which was used to reduce long-range area attacks.

"The core was extracted so quickly? Tsk tsk..."

Arwen is happy, but still expressionless.

"I'll play first!"

Dwarf Glenn shouted and threw a card in the remote area.

He is an elf archer with an attack power of 3 points.

Arwen placed a Temeria Guard in the melee area, with an attack power of 2 points.

"Hey, it's only 2 o'clock? Haha! Look at this, Elf Queen, 7 o'clock!"

"Another remote card, adding up to 10 points," Arwen thought, looking at the Impenetrable Fog in his hand (which changed the combat power of the units in the remote area of both sides to 1), "Wait a minute."

Immediately, another one, Temeria Guard, appeared.

"Activate the link effect of Temeria Guard. For every card with the same name on the field, the attack power will be multiplied by the corresponding multiple. Now there are two cards. Each Temeria Guard is multiplied by two, and the total attack power is 8 points."

"It's a bit interesting," dwarf Glenn stroked his beard, "But that's it."

He played a dwarf clan leader in the melee area, with 6 attack points and 16 field attack points.

Seeing this, Arwen also added a card in the melee area.

"Legendary King Knight, the effect is to summon all the knights' followers in the deck."

As he spoke, he put down a knight's retinue from his hand and selected two more from the deck.

"The legendary king's knight has 10 points, and the knight's retinue adds up to 3 points. Now my field attack is 21 points."

"Glenn Your Excellency, it's your turn."

As soon as this card was played, the archer on the side shouted Vaughn in shock.

"Oh, my God, do you know how to play cards? The Legendary King's Knight is my trump card. You should play the Knight's Retinue in your hand first, and then play the Legendary King's Knight depending on the situation!"

"This way you can look at the situation first and not easily reduce the number of cards in your hand before making a decision. Do you understand? Idiot!"

"Vaughn, is it you who is playing cards, or is this guest playing cards? Why are you howling there?" dwarf Glenn mocked.

Archer Vaughn patted his forehead and sighed, "It's over. My cards were actually used by a fool. It's really unlucky."

Dwarf Glenn smiled and pressed a long-range card again, "Elf Archer, 4 points, field attack 20 points, it's your turn."

Arwen tapped his fingers lightly on the table, knowing the other party's intention.

The opponent's field attack seems to be lower than yours, but if you give up calling, the opponent only needs one card to turn the tide of the battle.

Now you have 6 cards in your hand, and so does your opponent.

"Win the first game."

Arwen revealed a card in his hand that was engraved with gray mist.

"Impenetrable Fog."

"You have three cards in the remote area. Activate the field effect of Impenetrable Fog. The combat power of these three cards will become 1 point, which means the field attack will become 12 points."

"Oh my god! Impenetrable Fog! Damn it, you just use it. This dwarf is using an elf deck with a bunch of ranged cards. You just use this damn Impenetrable Fog! Damn it!"

Archer Vaughn spat and cursed, "Go away, I can't stand it anymore, let me fight."

"Hey, Vaughn, it's not your money, why are you so excited?"

Vaughn paused and froze on the spot, gritting his teeth secretly and regretting in his heart, why was it not him who brought up this Gwent game, otherwise the 15 crowns would have been his.

Dwarf Glenn beamed with joy and recognized in his heart that Arwen was a novice, "Hey, fold, you win this round."

Arwen curled his lips, and both parties added a card, with sunshine depicted on the card.

"Coming."

"I won the last round, so I'll play first."

"Medic, 3 points of attack power, activates the effect, brings back Temeria Guard from the graveyard, and has 5 points of field attack."

"Ha, it's my turn! The legendary elf leader has 10 attack points!"

"Trebuchet, 8 points! Field attack: 13 points."

Dwarf Glenn stuffed a card into the remote area of Arwen, "Elf Spy, your field attack -5 points becomes 8 points."

"The spy reduces the field attack? Why don't you draw a card?" Arwen was stunned for a moment, "Isn't this the way to play in the mod? Well... this is fine..."

"Demon hunter, 7 points, field attack 15 points."

"Dwarf axe, 4 points, field attack 14 points! It's your turn!"

Arwen glanced at the other side under his hood, "It's still the same old trick."

He looked at the cards in his hand again, and saw that both sides only had 3 cards left, "I fold."

Dwarf Glenn clenched his fist, "Oh!"

By this time, Vaughn had begun to sigh and think in vain, regretting why he didn't speak first and propose this Gwent game.

"My turn, dwarf spy, your field attack -3 points!" said the dwarf Glenn.

Arwen didn't care. He glanced at the spy leader who was drawn up and placed it in the opponent's remote area. "I'll give you a spy, and your field attack will be -7 points."

"It's interesting, Elf Archer, 10 attack points, 3 field attack points."

Arwen puts engineering backup, "Activate the effect of engineering backup and summon all ballistae from the deck. Engineering backup is 2 points, two ballistae points are 3 points, and field attack is 5 points."

"It's my turn, it's my turn," the dwarf Glenn couldn't wait to throw one out, "Tread Archer, activate its effect and summon all the cards with the same name in the deck!"

He threw down a card from his hand and took another one from the card library, "There are three cards in total, with 12 attack points and 15 field points."

"Sir, you only have 2 cards left. I think one of your cards is Mardroeme Evolution Spore?"

Arwen chuckled and put down a card in his hand.

"You guessed it right. After activating the evolution effect of Mardroeme, my ballista will be upgraded to an enhanced ballista. The attack power from 3 points will be changed to 5 attack points, and the link will be triggered. The attack power of the two pieces will be multiplied by 2 each, for a total of 20 points, and the field attack will be 19 points."

"Haha!" Dwarf Glenn laughed loudly, "Finally I've waited for you, your 15 crowns will be mine right away!"

"Torrential Rain, the combat power of all the ballista units on the field has been reduced to 1 point. Let me see, you have three ballista units on the field, with 3 attack points, plus my spy - 3 points. Hey, it's exactly zero!"

Vaughn showed his hands and said, "Look, he is a complete novice, playing cards blindly."

"What should I do now? I want a card with more than 15 points, but I don't have it in my deck!"

Even the silent knight Draco couldn't help but shake his head.

The dwarf jumped up from the stool and rubbed his palms together, "Hey, if you want to beat us dwarves at Gwent, you humans will have to wait for hundreds of years."

"Sir, I will accept your crown."

"Wait a minute," Arwen said in a low voice, "I have one last card."

Dwarf Glenn snorted proudly, "Okay, okay, I'll see what your last picture is."

Arwen flipped over the card in his hand, and the card surface was engraved with a blazing white light.

"I'm afraid I'm going to disappoint you, Clear Weather, remove your Torrential Rain environmental effects, and restore the field attack to 19 points."

"Sir Glenn, I have also been waiting for this for a long time."
