Standing by the window, Blaise looked out at the view and couldn't help but praise it. "The view here is really nice. Come to think of it, how did you know about this place? We've been together the whole time, and I never saw you come here before."
"My grandfather gave me a notebook. It mentioned this place."
Blaise knew that Sean had something like a notebook and had looked through it before. He knew it contained a great deal of magical knowledge, but only today did he learn that the notebook had been left behind by the head of the Bulstrode family. That left him with no further doubts about the existence of the Room of Requirement.
After pouring the last Mind Recovery Potion into its container, Sean let out a breath and dropped into the chair behind him. Rubbing his sore shoulders, he said, "This really isn't something an ordinary person can manage. I'm exhausted."
"Then are you still planning to keep working with Andy?"
"I have to keep cooperating with him. You know my parents are both Squibs. Other than knowing about the Magical World, they aren't much different from ordinary people. If I just wanted to coast through magical studies, I naturally wouldn't need to spend much money. But I don't want that. I want to study magic in depth, and that requires a great deal of money.
"For example, right now I have to keep up with my regular studies while also handling the more difficult coursework from the Potions Club. Mind Recovery Potions are practically essential, not to mention all the other things I need. I can't keep asking my parents for money forever, so I have to find a way to earn it myself."
With that, Sean stood and looked at the four Mind Recovery Potions on the table, quite satisfied with his work.
Out of five batches of ingredients, only the third had gone wrong when he missed the right heat by accident, turning that potion into an inferior product with terrible effects. The other four were all perfectly acceptable, and one of them was even nearly flawless in quality.
Of course, Sean would not put all four potions on the market. He would keep two for himself and give two to Andy to sell. That would not attract too much attention, while still earning him the money he currently needed. It was enough.
Once the potion was finished, Sean immediately drank the flawless one.
As his mind gradually cooled, Sean immediately felt his formerly stiff and muddled thoughts become clear again. The exhaustion in his body remained, but his mental fatigue was completely swept away.
"Blaise, are you still going on a date later? With that third-year girl from last time?"
Hearing Sean's question, Blaise turned away from the window and cleared his throat. "She's still a third-year, but she's not the same girl."
"You switched again?"
"How can you say 'again'?" Blaise corrected Sean righteously. "When it comes to relationships, if it isn't suitable, you have to move on until you find the right one. I'm already twelve. I only have five years until adulthood. Finding my true love within those five years is already a tight schedule. You should know that I plan to get married right after graduation, so naturally I need to find someone I'm satisfied with marrying."
Sean looked at Blaise, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.
He was thinking about marriage at twelve?
Wasn't that a little too early?
Were all the parts that needed to develop even developed yet? Had all the hair that needed to grow even grown yet?
Not continuing the topic, Sean and Blaise packed up their things and left the Room of Requirement.
Blaise went off to continue his date, while Sean headed for the library.
But Sean had barely sat down before Hermione took a seat beside him and quietly said, "Sean, hello. Can we talk?"
"This is the library. How about we talk outside?"
Shaking her head, Hermione said, "It's only something small, and Madam Pince isn't over here. She's with the Fifth Years and Seventh Years. We just need to keep our voices down."
"All right. Just tell me what it is."
"Sean, do you know that Malfoy and Harry agreed to have a Duel tonight?"
Sean raised an eyebrow slightly at that. "I know about it. What's wrong?"
"I think Malfoy might be plotting something, so could you talk Harry out of meeting Malfoy for the Duel? I wanted to tell Harry about it before, but he seemed very resistant. You're Harry's friend, so maybe he'll listen to you."
Looking at Hermione, Sean shook his head. "Hermione, it's not that I don't want to talk Harry out of it. I already tried, but Harry doesn't want to give up the Duel with Malfoy. There's nothing else I can do."
Hearing that, Hermione's brows furrowed tightly. "Then, then why don't we go talk to him together? There has to be something wrong with this. If Harry goes to Duel Malfoy like this, he might even get expelled from Hogwarts. I don't think Harry would want to be expelled, would he?"
"Hermione, I won't go talk Harry out of it with you again. I've already tried, and Harry's attitude is very firm. If I keep trying to persuade him, Harry and I really won't be able to remain friends. Besides, you don't need to worry about Hogwarts expelling anyone. Ever since Headmaster Dumbledore took office, Hogwarts has never expelled even the worst students, unless the Ministry of Magic intervenes. So you don't need to worry about Harry being expelled for breaking school rules, because that is completely impossible."
There was one more thing Sean did not say. Harry was very special to Dumbledore. As long as Harry did not commit some monstrous crime, Dumbledore would keep him at Hogwarts and never let him leave.
Seeing Sean's firm attitude, Hermione had no choice but to say nothing more.
In truth, Hermione did not completely believe what Sean had said. But Sean had already made his position clear, so she could not keep pressing the matter. On top of that, Madam Pince had already noticed them, so Hermione could only close her mouth and stop speaking.
Sean's memories of the specific details concerning Harry had become somewhat hazy, but he knew very well that Harry would emerge unharmed no matter what happened. Naturally, he was not too worried. His calmness, however, looked to Hermione like the typical behavior of a Slytherin who simply did not care about Harry.
Sean had no time to explain anything to Hermione. He had a new idea now.
A despicable act like Malfoy's was naturally intolerable to a proper Slytherin. So challenging Malfoy to a Pureblood Duel would be perfectly reasonable, wouldn't it?
And Sean could use this chance to see just how much support his grandfather was truly willing to give him.
