Ch. 141Head-dog

Sean exposed his deception to Barrett and led Mallow and the Dark Wizards in a battle against Barrett’s group. After killing several opponents and weakening his own ranks, Sean faced Barrett in a duel, which Barrett began by attacking first.

  • Sean revealed Black Smoke Voldemort and ordered Mallow’s Dark Wizards to surround Barrett and his men.
  • Sean joined the battle and used Sectumsempra to steal several kills as both sides suffered casualties.
  • Sean killed Dickie after Dickie begged for his life, then confronted the trapped Barrett.
  • Barrett accused Sean of deceiving him and vowed to take several of Sean’s men with him.
  • Sean cleared the area and challenged Barrett to fight him personally, but Barrett cast the first spell.

Ch. 142To Hell with Voldemort

Sean defeated Barrett in a fierce magical duel and offered him a chance to live by signing a contract. Barrett chose to abandon his devotion to Voldemort and pledge loyalty to Sean.

  • Sean and Barrett exchanged rapid offensive spells until Sean spotted a brief opening in Barrett’s casting.
  • Sean transformed the earth into blades that broke through Barrett’s stone walls, forcing Barrett to flee as mist into the forest.
  • Sean chased Barrett through the forest while Mallow and another dark wizard blocked his escape.
  • Barrett emerged from the mist and cast the Killing Curse, but Sean countered with Expelliarmus and overwhelmed him.
  • Sean disarmed Barrett and offered him a chance to live in exchange for loyalty, and Barrett declared, "Fuck Voldemort!"

Ch. 143A Bountiful Harvest

Sean bound Barrett to him with a magical contract, then ordered his men to erase the traces of the battle and arrange a cover story. After gaining two abilities from Barrett, Sean returned to Hogwarts, where Barrett arrived wounded and gave Dumbledore and the professors an altered account of the fight.

  • Sean and Barrett signed a sincere magical contract that placed Barrett's life under Sean's control.
  • Sean ordered Mallow and Barrett to destroy evidence and plan to blame the deaths on a dark wizard attack.
  • Sean returned to Hogwarts with Andy and delivered Polyjuice Potion ingredients to Harry and the other two.
  • Sean gained Swift Casting LV1 and the Cruciatus Curse LV1 from his duel with Barrett.
  • Barrett returned to Hogwarts badly injured and told Dumbledore and the professors that dark wizards had killed Dickie and the others.

Ch. 144Snape's Misgiving

After a massacre near Hogwarts, Dumbledore gave Fudge a misleading account to protect Barrett, while Fudge focused on controlling the political fallout. Snape noticed a familiar-looking wound on a student’s corpse and secretly retrieved an old textbook, leaving him unsure whether he had witnessed evidence of his own magic or an illusion.

  • Fudge questioned Dumbledore about the massacre, and Dumbledore told him that Dark Wizards had attacked Barrett and the others after a private gathering.
  • Dumbledore concealed that Barrett and the dead students had worshipped Voldemort, while Fudge’s Aurors found no useful clues at the scene.
  • Snape spotted a wound on one of the corpses, then returned to Hogwarts with Dumbledore without revealing his reaction.
  • Snape searched the Potions storeroom for an old school textbook, found it untouched, and took it away to hide it elsewhere.

Ch. 145Dueling Club

After four Slytherin students were killed, Hogwarts returned to routine until Gilderoy Lockhart announced a Dueling Club, which Sean joined with Blaise. At the first meeting, Lockhart introduced Professor Snape as his assistant, while Sean watched Malfoy and Millicent, who held the Diary.

  • Hogwarts students soon stopped discussing the deaths of the four Slytherin students, and a new fifth-year male Prefect took over Dickie's position.
  • Sean and Blaise signed up for Lockhart's Dueling Club, hoping to learn dueling and, in Sean's case, to get another chance to duel Lockhart and keep the club running.
  • Sean and Blaise arrived at the first meeting, where the Slytherins made room for them at the front; Malfoy snorted at Sean, and Millicent sneered while holding the Diary.
  • Lockhart addressed the students, claimed he could have stopped the Dark Wizards, and introduced Professor Snape as his assistant.

Ch. 146Unexpected Gain

Sean replaced Snape in Lockhart’s dueling demonstration, repeatedly disarmed Lockhart, and then defeated Harry in a duel. His panel rewarded him with Parseltongue LV3, while his attempt to gain Lockhart’s Memory Charm produced Writing Skill twice.

  • Sean persuaded Snape to let him take his place in the demonstration against Lockhart.
  • Lockhart’s Expelliarmus failed, and Sean disarmed him with a spell that sent him crashing onto the platform.
  • Sean challenged Lockhart again and knocked him down a second time, but his panel awarded him Writing Skill instead of the Memory Charm.
  • Snape told Sean to duel Harry, and the boys’ first Expelliarmus spells collided in midair.
  • Sean cast a faster second Expelliarmus, disarmed Harry, and received Parseltongue LV3 from his panel.

Ch. 147Parseltongue

After defeating Harry, Sean gained Proficient Spellcasting LV2 and realized his Parseltongue came from Voldemort’s soul fragment. During Dueling Club practice, Harry spoke Parseltongue to stop Malfoy’s snake, causing the students to suspect he was Slytherin’s heir.

  • Sean gained Proficient Spellcasting LV2 after his duel with Harry and considered whether his Parseltongue would let him control the Basilisk.
  • Lockhart began Expelliarmus practice, and Sean paired with Blaise while Harry was challenged by Malfoy.
  • Harry and Malfoy exchanged spells beyond the practice rules, and Malfoy conjured a King Cobra with Dragon's Escape.
  • Lockhart’s spell failed to stop the snake, and Harry spoke Parseltongue to order it back.
  • The students suspected Harry was Slytherin’s heir, and Snape burned the snake to ashes.

Ch. 148Slytherin Under Low Pressure

After Harry spoke Parseltongue to control the snake, students accused him of being the Heir of Slytherin and responsible for the attacks. Sean reassured Harry, but when Sean returned to the Slytherin Common Room with Blaise, the older students demanded an explanation about his claim that the Heir was in Gryffindor.

  • Harry learned that Justin Finch-Fletchley and the other students feared him because he had spoken Parseltongue, and they accused him of being the Heir of Slytherin behind the attacks.
  • Ron explained that Parseltongue was associated with Slytherin’s bloodline, while Sean calmed Harry and urged him not to worry about accusations he had not earned.
  • Harry decided to continue investigating and prove his innocence by uncovering the real Heir of Slytherin.
  • On the way to the Common Room, Blaise asked Sean whether Harry could be the Heir, and Sean said he believed someone else was responsible.
  • Sean and Blaise found the Slytherin Common Room full of silent older students, who confronted Sean about saying the Heir of Slytherin was in Gryffindor.

Ch. 149Kulkan's Complaint

Sean and the Slytherins met to reject the idea that Harry Potter was Slytherin’s heir and agreed to search for the real heir. Back in his room, Sean surprised Kulkan by ordering raw eggs and fresh meat after she complained about her food.

  • Dovilia opened the Slytherin meeting, and Ilina argued that Harry’s Parseltongue had another explanation and that Slytherin’s heir could not be in Gryffindor.
  • Several Slytherins attacked a student who suggested Harry might truly be the heir, and Sean used counterspells to keep him alive before warning the others.
  • Samuel reinforced the claim that Harry could not be Slytherin’s heir, and the Slytherins agreed to reject the connection and search for the real heir in exchange for a reward from the Slytherin Brotherhood.
  • Sean observed that Millicent remained absorbed in the Diary, then returned to his room after the meeting.
  • Kulkan complained that Sean fed her only snake food, so Sean summoned a House-elf to bring her raw eggs and fresh meat.

Ch. 150Sudden Arrival!

Sean fed Kulkan and learned that her bloodline memories and ability to grow by consuming powerful magical creatures had awakened after she drank Unicorn blood. While returning from brewing a potion with Kulkan, Sean sensed the Basilisk approaching and fled as it chased him through the pipes.

  • Sean spoke Parseltongue to Kulkan, who was stunned that he could understand her language.
  • Kulkan explained her South American past, her inherited knowledge, and how drinking Unicorn blood had awakened more of her bloodline inheritance and accelerated her growth.
  • Kulkan said she wanted to accompany Sean when he hunted the Basilisk so she could consume its eyes and blood.
  • Sean brought Kulkan to the Room of Requirement while he brewed a potion, and they stayed there until evening.
  • As Sean and Kulkan left, Kulkan sensed the Basilisk approaching, and Sean ran as it pursued him through the walls.

Ch. 151Attack

Sean and Harry fled the Basilisk, which petrified Hermione, Ron, and Nearly Headless Nick before vanishing from the corridor. Dumbledore summoned Sean, Harry, Ginny, and the Weasley twins to his office, suspecting there was more to Ginny’s outburst.

  • Sean tried to escape the Basilisk, then warned Harry, Hermione, and Ron to run and avoid looking into its eyes.
  • Nearly Headless Nick appeared between Hermione and Ron and the Basilisk; its gaze petrified all three, while Sean pulled Harry away.
  • The Basilisk fled into a pipe when footsteps approached, and Dumbledore, Snape, and other professors arrived to examine the petrified victims.
  • Sean told Dumbledore and Snape that the Basilisk had been targeting him, while Ginny sobbed that she had harmed Ron and killed Hermione.
  • Dumbledore summoned Snape, Minerva, Mr. Weasley, the Weasley twins, Ginny, Harry, and Sean to his office for a proper talk.

Ch. 152Ginny's Confession

After Ron was attacked, Ginny confessed that she had opened the Chamber of Secrets under the influence of an enchanted Diary belonging to Riddle. Her account left Dumbledore and the professors searching for whoever currently held the Diary.

  • Dumbledore questioned Sean about how he had escaped the Basilisk, and Sean said his snake, Kulkan, had warned him of danger.
  • Dumbledore asked Ginny to explain what she knew about Ron's attack, and she confessed that she had opened the Chamber of Secrets.
  • Sean gave Ginny a Calming Potion, and she settled enough to recount how she had found the Old Diary and trusted Riddle.
  • Ginny explained that she had opened the Chamber once, lost consciousness, and later discovered the Diary was gone.
  • Ginny blamed herself for trusting Riddle and hurting others, including Ron.
  • Dumbledore concluded that the Diary had caused the attacks and asked who had it now and where they were.

Ch. 154A Temporary Calm

Sean decided to act against the threat from Millicent while Harry planned to use Polyjuice Potion to investigate Slytherin. The chapter ended with Harry overhearing two Hufflepuffs accuse him of being the Heir of Slytherin and attacking his friends.

  • After Dumbledore questioned them, Sean decided to take the initiative and obtain Lockhart’s Memory Charm before dealing with the danger Millicent posed.
  • Harry resolved to continue the plan to infiltrate Slytherin alone using Polyjuice Potion and investigate Malfoy.
  • Back in the Slytherin Common Room, Sean told Blaise that Dumbledore would soon find the Chamber and identify the Heir, frightening Millicent into holding back.
  • Harry finished dinner alone, remained furious over Ron and Hermione’s petrification, and considered asking Sean for Calming Potion.
  • As Harry left the Great Hall, he overheard two Hufflepuffs claim that he was the Heir of Slytherin and had attacked Ron, Hermione, and Sean.

Ch. 155Valentine’s Day

Harry confronted Justin and another student who spread rumors that he was the Heir of Slytherin, then used Polyjuice Potion to enter the Slytherin Common Room disguised as Crabbe. On Valentine's Day, Sean waited in the decorated Great Hall for letters to arrive before carrying out his plan to obtain the Memory Charm.

  • Colin attacked Justin and another boy, and Harry pulled him away before threatening the two students who had accused him of being the Heir of Slytherin.
  • Harry thanked Colin, then transformed into Crabbe with Polyjuice Potion and followed Malfoy into the Slytherin Common Room.
  • Sean recognized that the apparent Crabbe was unusual, realized Harry was disguised, and chose not to interfere.
  • Blaise and Andy discussed Valentine's Day letters and warned Sean about Love Potions, while Sean said he brewed the potion regularly.
  • On Valentine's Day, Lockhart covered the Great Hall in pink decorations and showered it with colored paper as Sean waited for letters before starting his Memory Charm plan.

Ch. 156Lure the Enemy into a Trap

Sean stopped Lockhart’s Valentine’s Day Gnomes, then lured him to the Room of Requirement with a forged letter claiming it held a Basilisk. Lockhart discovered Sean waiting there and was dragged into the room by Black Smoke.

  • Sean bound three Gnomes with transfigured ribbons, and Lockhart’s attempt to free them only tightened their bonds.
  • Inspired by Sean, Hogwarts students injured the twelve Gnomes, who went on strike and left the school.
  • Lockhart read a forged admirer’s letter claiming a Basilisk and a way to control it were hidden in a secret Hogwarts room.
  • Lockhart followed the letter’s directions at night and entered the Room of Requirement, where Sean was waiting.
  • Sean revealed he had written the letter, and Black Smoke wrapped around Lockhart and dragged him deeper into the room.

Ch. 157The Unreasonable Memory Charm

Sean repeatedly dueled Lockhart to obtain his Memory Charm and finally drew the spell at its maximum level. Suspicious of Lockhart’s unusually powerful charm, Sean used Legilimency to investigate him.

  • Sean captured Lockhart with black smoke and forced him to duel, despite Lockhart’s protests.
  • Sean repeatedly defeated Lockhart, checking his panel after each duel but failing to draw the Memory Charm.
  • Lockhart tried to escape and then attempted to cast Obliviate on Sean, but Sean disarmed him first.
  • Sean’s panel revealed he had obtained Memory Charm LV5MAX from Lockhart.
  • Sean suspected Lockhart possessed another secret and cast Legilimency on him.

Ch. 158The Secret Chamber Opens

After uncovering the source of Lockhart’s Memory Charm, Sean erased Lockhart’s memories and later followed Millicent to the Chamber of Secrets entrance. Harry rushed past Sean and entered the Chamber before him.

  • Sean searched Lockhart’s memories and found fragments linking his Memory Charm to Rowena Ravenclaw’s birthplace and mysterious magical ruins.
  • Sean cast Obliviate on Lockhart, who woke with no memory of being attacked.
  • Sean reassured an exhausted Harry that Hermione, Ron, and the others could be cured with Mandrake Root.
  • Sean noticed Millicent leave the Slytherin Common Room and realized she had taken his hint about the Chamber of Secrets.
  • Millicent opened the Chamber’s entrance in the third-floor girls’ bathroom using Parseltongue and jumped into the pipe.
  • Harry emerged from a bathroom stall and leaped into the Chamber ahead of Sean.

Ch. 159Tom's Purpose

Sean and Harry entered the Chamber of Secrets to confront the Basilisk and rescue Millicent, whom Tom Riddle had possessed. Tom revealed his plan to kill Sean, take over Harry through the soul fragment inside him, and rebuild his power.

  • Sean followed Harry into the Chamber of Secrets and explained how he had discovered Millicent's strange behavior.
  • Sean gave Harry Mandrake ear protectors and prepared to strike the Basilisk as soon as they entered the chamber.
  • Harry opened the entrance, and he and Sean advanced through the chamber toward the statue of Salazar Slytherin.
  • Tom Riddle emerged in Millicent Bursede's possessed body and recognized Sean.
  • Tom told Sean he planned to kill him, merge with the soul fragment inside Harry, and use the Basilisk to rebuild his Death Eaters.

Ch. 160Dance of Death

Harry challenged Tom’s claim to greatness, and Sean unleashed Mandrakes and recorded rooster crows against Tom and the Basilisk. Sean attacked the blinded Basilisk, but it began destroying the devices before Fawkes arrived to join the fight.

  • Harry declared Albus Dumbledore the greatest wizard, enraging Tom, who summoned the Basilisk from Slytherin’s statue.
  • Sean released Mandrakes and tape recorders playing rooster crows, incapacitating Tom and the Basilisk while he and Harry protected their ears.
  • Sean charged the Basilisk with his Chain Hammer, injuring it, but its tail struck him and sent him crashing into a wall.
  • The Basilisk destroyed the tape recorders and several Mandrakes as Sean prepared to attack again.
  • Fawkes flew into the hall, dropped the Sorting Hat at Harry’s feet, and swooped toward the Basilisk.

Ch. 161Slaying the Snake Monster

Sean battled Tom and the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, eventually using the Sword of Gryffindor to kill the Basilisk. The chapter ended with Sean discovering that the sword could grow to enormous size.

  • Tom cast the Killing Curse at Fawkes, but Sean threw his Tower Shield in its path while Fawkes blinded the Basilisk.
  • Sean attacked the blinded Basilisk with his Chain Hammer and spells, but its skull and magical defenses resisted his blows.
  • Tom destroyed the last recorder and burned away the Mandrake, ending the sounds that had been weakening the Basilisk.
  • Harry threw Sean the Sword of Gryffindor, and Sean used it to wound the Basilisk before realizing the sword could grow larger.
  • Sean commanded the Sword of Gryffindor to become a three-meter greatsword and cleaved the Basilisk in two.
