History
Awakening and Clan School
Yu Tianheng awakens immediately before Yu Xiaochuan at the clan’s Martial Soul Awakening ceremony. His Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon and innate level-nine Soul Power make him an outstanding prospect, prompting his grandfather to celebrate the possibility of another Titled Douluo in the family. Yu Tianheng eagerly seeks praise from Yu Xiaogang, whom he idolizes 1.
At the clan school, he attracts a large following and is popular with the girls. Despite his prestigious position, he chooses Yu Xiaochuan as his deskmate rather than sitting with the other talented children. Their rivalry begins when Xiaochuan teases him with Caterpie: an attempted intervention by a classmate accidentally drops the insect onto Tianheng’s face, frightening him unconscious 3 4.
Rivalry with Yu Xiaochuan
Embarrassed by the incident and convinced that clansmen are laughing at him, Tianheng loses sleep and challenges Xiaochuan. He wants both to avenge his humiliation and to overcome his fear by defeating Caterpie himself 4 5.

Xiaochuan’s Departure
When Xiaochuan leaves to study at Nuoding Academy, Tianheng is reluctant to part with him and asks for another fight someday. He does not know that Xiaochuan is leaving because his cultivation has stalled at level nine. Expecting his rival to grow stronger, Tianheng nevertheless believes that diligent cultivation will eventually secure his own victory 12.
Personality
Tianheng is proud, competitive, and sensitive to embarrassment. His fear of insects is severe enough for Caterpie’s contact to make him faint, and the memory troubles him long afterward.
