Netherworld awakened after absorbing Lu Ling’s blood and life energy, and Shen Xi explained that she and Netherworld were the Soul and Life of Lu Ling’s Spirit Body. Lu Ling was unharmed but needed time to recover, while the others learned that his powers had once been separated from him and largely lost.

• Netherworld broke free of her stone shell and found Lu Ling unconscious among the red spider lilies.
• Shen Xi emerged and said Lu Ling had only given up blood and energy, leaving his foundations intact, though he needed time to recover.
• The Mysterious Dragon Emperor agreed to bear some of Lu Ling’s side effects and then left through a spatial gate.

Lu Ling woke after restoring Netherworld, with Long Zhanye and the Mysterious Dragon Emperor having borne much of the cost through their pact. As they shared a meal, the Mysterious Dragon Emperor asked Lu Ling to help Long Zhanye grow stronger, and he began considering how to do so.

• While Lu Ling remained unconscious, Shen Xi and Long Zhanye discussed spirit bodies, and Long Zhanye insisted she would grow up.
