"World Tree?"
Luo Chen was somewhat surprised, but even more shocked.
Because the World Tree in this realm was incomplete.
At the end of his sight, half of a surviving World Tree trunk lay across the depths of chaos.
The upper half of the World Tree's trunk had vanished, leaving behind only hundreds of millions of thick ancestral roots, like heaven-supporting pillars, rooted firmly within the chaos.
Even so, this World Tree "stump" remained incomparably vast. Its surface was covered in ravines, proving that the World Tree had not been severed by a single strike, but had been slowly chopped apart over an immense stretch of time.
The broken cross-section of its trunk was vast and boundless. Luo Chen estimated that the trunk alone was more magnificent than the territories of a hundred Great Thousand Worlds pieced together.
An ordinary galaxy falling upon its cross-section would be no more than dust and fragments.
The trunk had not completely withered. The primordial Creation Origin still flowed through its ancestral roots.
Luo Chen marveled at the tenacious vitality of creation. The rank of this World Tree was extraordinarily high, likely beyond imagination.
Who knew how many hundreds of millions of years it had taken to grow to such a scale, only to be felled by some unknown great power.
Luo Chen could tell that this vast space had been born because of this World Tree. Yet after the World Tree collapsed, the space had instead begun consciously nourishing it in return, preserving the last spark of life within its ancestral roots.
"No living beings?"
Luo Chen descended onto one corner of the World Tree's trunk, then spread out a time barrier.
Along the way, Luo Chen's divine sense had already surveyed one or two tenths of this space, yet he had not
