In the starry universe, in another star system relatively close to Xuanhuang Star.
Just as Lu Qingshan and his companions were fighting desperately against Demon God Meng Qi, a saucer-shaped spaceship was resting on the outermost planet of this star system.
Inside the spaceship's hall stood three tall figures in silver-gray battle armor. They were around two meters tall, with slightly pointed ears and exceedingly fair skin.
A table of fine wine and delicious food was laid out before the three figures.
"Big Brother!"
One of the figures looked at their leader, Weilusi, and said, "Third Brother and the others have been gone so long. Why haven't they come back yet? Nothing unexpected could have happened, could it?"
"What could possibly happen on a barren planet like this?"
Weilusi said unconcernedly, "This planet is fairly large. It's only natural for them to spend a little longer surveying it! Besides, the ship can monitor their vital signs, and there haven't been any problems so far!"
"Big Brother is right!"
The other figure quickly spoke up. "No news might even be good news! Second Brother, if Third Brother and the others discover valuable resources to mine, we'll make a fortune!"
"What resources could a barren planet like this possibly have?"
The second brother, who had spoken first, quickly replied, "Even if they really do find resources worth mining, there aren't any suitable inhabited planets nearby. We couldn't even establish a supply line, so how would we mine them?"
"That's true!"
Hearing this, the other figure nodded slightly in agreement.
In fact, many planets in the universe possessed some mineral resources, but unless there were other inhabited planets nearby, there was simply no way to provide enough supplies for the miners.
Under such circumstances, unless a mineral planet was extremely valuable, factions generally would not pay the enormous price required to mine it.
"Actually, that isn't always the case!"
Weilusi seemed to think of something, then quickly said, "I heard that an adventurer team from the Heaven-Encompassing Society discovered a planet rich in purple thunder stone deposits over three hundred years ago. Even though there weren't any inhabited planets nearby, it still drew quite a few factions into the affair!"
"The Grade C metal, purple thunder stone?"
Hearing Weilusi's words, the second brother, Enstan, immediately exclaimed in surprise, "With such precious metal deposits discovered, wouldn't that adventurer team have struck it rich?"
"Of course!"
Weilusi quickly nodded. "They say that planet has extremely rich purple thunder stone deposits, including quite a lot of purple thunder stone essence. There might even be some incredibly rare purple thunder stone mother. That's an incomparably precious Grade E metal!"
"And precisely because of that, the Heaven-Encompassing Society eventually even dispatched an interstellar fleet to transform a nearby planet suitable for terraforming into a truly habitable planet, all to provide ample supplies for the miners!"
"Heavens, that's simply unbelievable!"
Hearing Weilusi's words, the other figure could not help exclaiming, "Terraforming a habitable planet costs even more than buying one!"
"What does terraforming one habitable planet amount to for those big shots?"
Weilusi smiled and said, "Besides, their main goal was to mine that planet's purple thunder stone deposits! If our team could discover a planet like that, we'd truly strike it rich!"
"Oh, Third Brother and the others are back!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Weilusi willed it, and the spaceship's hatch opened.
Then...
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Several figures swiftly flew over from nearby and rushed straight into the spaceship's hall. They were the other members of this adventurer team.
"Third Brother!"
With a wave, Weilusi sent a cup of fine wine to Mig, the "third brother" leading the group, then asked with a smile, "How did the survey go?"
"Nothing special!"
Mig drained the cup of wine before saying, "There are some Dark Iron deposits on this planet, but they aren't particularly rich. If there were other inhabited planets nearby, we could try mining them, though the profits wouldn't be very high!"
"That really is a pity!"
Weilusi quickly sighed. "The nearest inhabited planet is Wasteland Star, over eight hundred light-years away. There's no way they'd send a mining fleet here to extract Dark Iron ore. After all, the proceeds probably wouldn't even cover the cost of their fleet!"
Still, Weilusi was not overly disappointed. After all, coming away empty-handed was what adventurer teams encountered most often.
So he quickly said, "Then let's continue on our way. You must all be tired after surveying for resources, so get some rest first. Second Brother will be responsible for the ship's safety next!"
"Yes, Big Brother!"
Hearing Weilusi's words, all the other members of the adventurer team quickly responded respectfully.
And so, the adventurer team soon took their spaceship back into outer space.
But just as the spaceship continued forward, preparing to accelerate to light speed and cross into the Dark Universe...
"Big Brother, we have a situation!"
Enstan, who had been observing their surroundings through the spaceship, suddenly said, "An unidentified flying object has been detected ahead!"
"Hm?"
"Where's the unidentified flying object?"
Enstan's startled cry instantly alerted the other members of the adventurer team.
Once everyone had gathered again, they soon located the unidentified flying object not too far away through the spaceship's detection system.
"Big Brother, what do we do now?" Enstan quickly asked.
"No rush!"
Weilusi quickly said, "This unidentified flying object isn't moving very fast. It probably poses no threat to us!"
"But we're too far away for the ship's detection system to examine it in detail! Here's what we'll do: slow the ship down, then approach it gradually!"
"Yes, Master!"
Hearing the words of its master, Weilusi, the spaceship's auxiliary intelligence quickly responded respectfully.
In fact, an ordinary spaceship would have immediately sped away upon encountering such a situation, because everyone feared running into danger and trouble.
But Weilusi and the others were different!
They were Universe Adventurers, and what they sought was endless wealth through adventure.
Moreover, they were all outstanding Star Level fighters. As long as they did not encounter large space fleets or Universe Level powerhouses while roaming the universe, they were relatively safe.
Thus, their first thought upon encountering an unidentified flying object was certainly not to evade it, but to find a way to investigate and see whether they might gain some opportunity.
And so, Weilusi and his companions soon piloted their spaceship slowly toward the unidentified flying object.
When the distance between them had fallen below a hundred kilometers, Weilusi and the others finally discerned some details of the unidentified flying object through the spaceship's detection system.
"Big Brother!"
Enstan quickly said, "This looks like an extremely crude spacecraft. Who knows why it appeared here?"
"Never mind that for now!"
Weilusi immediately ordered, "Send an unmanned probe to investigate and see just what's going on with this spacecraft!"
"Yes, Boss!"
Hearing Weilusi's words, Mig, the member of the adventurer team most skilled at operating technological equipment, immediately dispatched an unmanned probe to investigate.
Once the unmanned probe had docked with the spacecraft, Weilusi and the others soon learned the specific situation aboard it.
"Boss!"
Mig, who was operating the unmanned probe, quickly said, "There's no danger aboard that spacecraft. It's just an extremely crude vessel, but it does carry storage devices containing quite a lot of data!"
Hearing this, Weilusi finally relaxed completely and continued issuing orders. "Slow the ship down and approach gradually, then retrieve all those storage devices. I want to see just what this is about!"
And so, under Weilusi's orders, the adventurer team soon approached the spacecraft in their spaceship.
Then the hatch opened, and two members flew out. They quickly removed the storage devices from the spacecraft and brought them back to the spaceship's hall.
"These storage devices look very crude too!"
Looking at the many storage devices before him, Weilusi quickly instructed, "Mig, see just what data is recorded in them!"
"Yes, Big Brother!"
Hearing Weilusi's instructions, Mig quickly began operating various precision instruments to examine them.
A moment later, a look of tremendous excitement and delighted surprise suddenly appeared on Mig's face.
"Mig, what's gotten into you?" Weilusi immediately asked upon noticing this.
"Big Brother!"
Mig said excitedly, "We're going to strike it rich again!"
"Although I still don't understand the language in this data, I'm certain that the spacecraft just now was launched by beings from an inhabited planet, and those beings haven't made contact with cosmic civilization yet!"
"This..."
Hearing Mig's words, both Weilusi and the other members of the adventurer team instantly revealed looks of intense, delighted surprise.
Weilusi instructed him even more excitedly, "Quick, find out exactly how long that spacecraft has been traveling, and use that to pinpoint the coordinates of that inhabited planet!"
"Yes, Big Brother!"
Mig responded just as excitedly, then began investigating according to Weilusi's instructions.
A moment later, Mig's investigation finally yielded results.
"Big Brother, according to my findings, that spacecraft should only have been traveling through space for a little over a hundred years. Judging by its speed and direction, that inhabited planet should be this way!"
Mig pointed ahead and to the left, then continued, "If we travel in the ship at sublight speed, we should only need a little over three months to reach its vicinity!"
"Good!"
Hearing Mig's words, Weilusi immediately said, "Everyone, heed my command! Full speed ahead toward our wealth!"
"Yes, Big Brother!"
"Hahaha, Boss, we're going to strike it rich again!"
The members of the adventurer team all laughed.
Then the spaceship carrying Weilusi and the others immediately sped ahead and to the left.
And the direction they were traveling in was precisely that of the star system containing Xuanhuang Star!
