618. The Trap

Within the Beast Bone Field shrouded by the mental field, a group of outsiders who suddenly barged in stood out sharply.

That was true of the search party led by the officer, and equally true of Kuruge, who had disguised himself as a mercenary.

They asked around for information about the Magic Array in the bone field. The matter was soon noticed by some local residents, and under the influence of the mental field, the news that "several groups of unfamiliar faces are asking about things they shouldn't" was passed through specific channels, layer by layer, until it reached Count Bona's ears.

After receiving the intelligence, the Yellow Book almost immediately realized that the remnants of the Hand of Passing might truly have panicked and fled to the vicinity of the Beast Bone Field.

These three outsiders with ulterior motives were very likely the vanguard sent by the other side to scout the way or search for resources.

Since real Cultists had come knocking, that just saved it the trouble of making preparations. In that case, there would happen to be even fewer loopholes.

So it stopped Bona's plan to use a batch of prisoners as the murderers who had killed the search party, and instead had him send the three people's intelligence to the officer, while also preparing manpower to sit back and reap the benefits.

In the original Excavation Site, workers shuttled back and forth like a colony of ants, transporting the materials they had collected.

Kuruge and the two believers hid in the dark, staring at the temporary warehouses in the distance built from logs and thick canvas.

There were scattered guards around the warehouses, but their vigilance did not seem very high.

They had previously tried to buy the materials they needed in the market
