Fat from whole roasted insects dripped onto the coals with a sizzling hiss, and the aroma mingled with the scent of Mushroom Wine, filling the entire square.
The dwarves drank shoulder to shoulder with the Fungal Fortress Soldiers, stripped to the waist. Wooden mugs clacked together, and no one bothered wiping the foam splashed onto their beards.
Someone struck up an accordion, and a few drunken dwarves began dancing to the tune, even dragging the Puji serving dishes beside them into it.
Baduo even saw a drunk dwarf stumble away from the square with a Half-Demon Fungal Citizen who clearly had Succubus blood.
