In the central square of Fungal Fortress, beneath the enormous Puji statue stepping on a dragon horn, there was no banquet today, yet the place was still packed with Fungal Citizens.
Dwarves stood with arms folded, leaning against Stone Pillars. Mushroom Descendants hugged their newly issued Delicious Mushrooms and stood on tiptoe to look around. Human women lifted children over their heads. Lizardmen's tails swished back and forth through the crowd, and no one got angry even when stepped on.
Even those from the Empire's Demon Capital who had only recently surrendered were squeezed into the corners, gazing at the stone platform in the center of the square with complicated looks.
On the stone platform, a member of the Blood Clan knelt there.
His robes were still tailored from first-rate enchanted iridescent cloth, and the gold thread at the cuffs remained dazzling, but the garment had already been torn in several places, and the gemstone at the collar was gone.
Spark held the parchment scroll in his hand and read out the Count's crimes.

When he finished the final charge, the judge Puji sitting in the very center, with a white Mushroom Cap and white mycelium curling on both sides, raised the little wooden
