The sky overhead was no longer sky. It had become a vast blood pool hanging upside down, dark red light seeping from behind the clouds and dyeing the whole city an ominous crimson.

Under that light, the walls on both sides of the street took on the color of rust, and even the shadows stretched long and twisted, as if something were crawling out from the dark.
