Feiling's tentacles brushed over the dim, lightless runes on the wall. "The mist really did a number on the Magic Array."
"There's no helping it. The mana concentration in the mist is too high, and the materials fixing these Magic Arrays in place can't withstand it," Feiyin explained softly from the side.
Feiling wrapped her tentacles around her waist and swept a glance over the castle, where dark bloodstains still remained in many places. "What I'm worried about is money. Is the little money we have really enough to rebuild this place?"
"Maybe... since the Fungal Fortress defeated the Empire, there won't be any more war in the future, so we won't need defenses anymore?"
